You should talk to your PCP about your symptoms and request a reference for a therapist. There’s no need to “look for” anything in particular in the short term; simply show up to therapy with an honest, open mind. A good therapist will help you understand your anxiety and suggest and help you use tools for managing it. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions. PCP referred me to their behavioral health center, but im really not sure what to do next. Do they call me? Or do I have to go online and set up an appointment with a doctor I pick from a list? Or is that all dependent on insurance and the clinic?
