Looking to switch from Audit into another career path. However, just not sure what that would be. My long-term goal is to become a forensic accountant (minimum 10-15 years from now). Studying for the CPA exam, and once that is done I'd like to sit for the CFE exam. Current interests are in the private/corporate accounting industry (cost accounting, possibly tax, etc). Thoughts? Suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Can a FDD senior manager transition into investment banking as a VP? What skills would be transferable that allow that person to hit the ground running? What skills would they lack and need to brush up on prior or learn on the job quickly?

is it worth it to shift to IB or MBB after 7 years in the big four(audit and fdd)? I do think IB and MBB are interesting fields that you can acquire unique skill sets and a good network. But I don’t think I couldn’t keep up already for a daily grind. The reason why I did not pursue it earlier in my career is that I am not from a target school and I do not have an MBA. lol thoughts?

I am actively looking to transition into a tech company. I’ve worked in campus recruitment for 2 years at a construction company. I am open to any advice.

I’d prefer a remote position. I am willing to take on training or classes to become a better recruiter.

So here is my dilemma:
- based in the UK
- opportunity for lateral internal move (culture&engagement) or stay where I am (reward). I am mid level IC struggling to progress due to flat structure so considering lateral move then hopefully up from there.
- 2 primary aged children, currently have flexibility in current/new role too
- Husband just got accepted on a international rotation which means I will be single parent for the short term.

What to do? Go with the unknown or coast comfortably?

Has anyone made the move from cyber security at the Big4 to cyber security for media companies? For example Disney or Warner Bros.

Feel like I missed the boat years back to get into Director of Product role. Back in the day there was only Senior in between a Director role, now there’s Lead and Group levels, so much hierarchy now.

Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case.
