Anyone ever take on a part time role in addition to their full time job? I could do my full time job in my sleep, and I'd really like to make some extra scratch, preferably doing some easy web/email dev stuff remotely, or even production-level design work.

Had the strangest interview with Uber with the hiring manager. I thought it was cool they wore pajamas to my interview though. Anyways, manager asked me more questions about walking through resume, why Uber, working with partners, etc then says that's all I have with 15 mins remaining for questions? Keep in mind we had 30 mins. I thought I'd at least make it to the exercise round instead received feedback from recruiter they were looking for direct program framework & methologies experience?!

Does anyone else find folks at Amazon are incredibly hierarchical ? The levels - L6, L7, L8 , - are brought up frequently in conversations in meetings. My meetings are with L6s and L7s. Example, "He is a L8!! We need to do this for him...."..'I need to do this for my L7". I am new and when introducing myself to L7s via email , they just straight up reject it without so much as a welcome or a "you should connect with someone else to talk about this topic" Talk about feeling welcomed

How healthy is your team? My team is very unhealthy which makes it really hard to go to dinner with them. I tried a team fitness challenge, it went nowhere, even sent out calendar reminders.

AITA? It’s become a pet peeve of mine when I’m looking at resumes where a PM says that they managed a team of X devs and QA. Unless those people report to you, you didn’t manage them. It’s fair to say you led a scrum team or a cross functional team, etc. I don’t see it often, but just enough that I wonder if it’s fair to me to start pushing back to recruiters about accuracy on resumes they send to me.

I’ve basically had it with my MIL. Flew to celebrate her 60th birthday this past weekend and today find out that she texted my husband that she’s “disappointed that only one person (me) didn’t call / text her” on her actual birthday sometime last week. She knows we are doing IVF and have a ton going on with work, and I’m so fed up with her BS. On top of this she texted this before our weekend visit and my husband never told me, so I feel awkward not having addressed it. I’m frustrated with both
