You need to get tested anytime you leave the country and come back

Stay home.

Some Caribbean countries are open to us citizen. Or go big, Maldives!

Would not want to be anywhere near Europe right now with the situation in London/U.K. in general.

like

Nope

Hawaii probably the best “international” since they have strict covid standards and it’s Hawaii! Other options: Mexico, Turkey

The UK/Ireland are apparently but there are strict policies for being allowed in. I’d consider South Korea as it is probably the safest international option. Hawaii is probably 2nd.

But everything’s closed so what’s the point?

I see people in Mexico every day so that would be an easy one. Some others: https://travel.usnews.com/features/where-can-americans-travel-right-now

Wow OP you might want to keep that to yourself, most of us are over here sacrificing our sanity by staying home for the good of mankind....

There are weird loopholes that you can use to get into Europe easily. Like Austria will let Americans in—and exempt them from the quarantine and testing requirement—if they’re coming for the birthday of an Austrian resident 🤷🏻‍♂️ Then once you’re in Schengen, you can travel freely. Lots of countries are open to Americans now. I’m trying to decide where to go next! Leaning towards Costa Rica but considering the Galapagos too.

Notice etiquete question. If you give your 2 weeks’ notice on a Monday, is your last day a Monday (2 weeks later) or can it be the previous Friday? Does your answer change depending on the time (morning/ afternoon) notice is given? If I don’t want to potentially burn any bridges, should I just have my notice period end on a Monday and just take that day out of my scheduled vacation before starting my next job? First time giving notice - would be interested in hearing what others have done.

I received an offer from one of the MBBs (Analyst position - banking benchmarks team). The offer briefly mentions that I'd receive performance bonus, but doesnt mention any range (% bracket). Nor does the compensation structure has any component of Performance Bonus (which is usually a part of TC) Should I ask the recruiter on this? What to do? Thanks in advance!

I’m a tech consultant working in the SAP practice. I’m a second year associate. I have decided that I don’t like the culture of consulting - work more hours, always add more work and responsibility to your plate, etc. I would like to work a job that is more 9-5 that doesn’t expect you to work in so many different things at once. What industry roles should I be applying to? Is leaving after 1.5 years too soon?

So $280K range all in starting. I’m currently making $250K in VC here in Bay Area. Job is in a MCOL T2 city (Boston/Dallas/Austin/Chicago) so I won’t be living in expensive Bay Area. Evaluate my offer please!

Am I good enough to join MBB? I am a degree apprentice for a big 4 consultancy, with 1 day off for study (management degree with the Open University). Once I complete my degree, I hope to join either McKinsey, Bain or BCG as a generalist. I will have 4YE working as a (non-strat) analyst. As I see it, my greatest obstacle will be getting an interview given my lack of a prestigious education/good upbringing. Grateful for any insights on how I can maximise my chances/if I have a chance at all.
