How much does Microsoft pay their entry level designers? The pay must be worth it right since designers go there to die. The bar to entry seems to be extremely low as Microsoft hasn’t produced anything remotely attractive visual / experience wise in the last decades. A company with over 100,000 designers but nobody has any eye for visual design or what LOOKS good… there’s a reason they’re not respected in tech and nobody’s first choice.
It’s nice to see but I want a new job too
Did I just open myself up to a lawsuit for employee poaching? A former colleague of mine (I was their mentor & project lead, not her boss) has been wanting to leave since around the time I left. In conversations as friends I’ve told them about my job and how I miss working with them and that no matter where they went next I’d be a reference and stay a mentor. I said things like the minute I can hire someone, you’ll be my first call… (continued in comments)
Which field in IT will have high demand in future and less competition ?
We know AI ,machine learning ,blockchain but
Looking for something unique which will be in demand future and not most people can do it ?
Any good recommendations for places to host team happy hours? Would only be about 30-50 people, but am drawing a blank when thinking of some. Maybe one with unlimited drink wristbands? Or just a typical work happy hour meet up spot
anyone know of any "sterile" places to live around Seattle (i.e. clean, safe to walk around at night, convenient, probably characterized by most as not having enough character)?
What are options to find short term lease besides airbnb and Facebook groups? ( furnished)
Can a tech company please just make me a high offer with RSUs so I can stop doing implementations every day of my life. Is that so hard to ask! 😂
What does it mean when a job posting does not have a description? I save the links to the jobs hoping a description will be filled out but they are gone in a few days!
Planning to visit Tyler with my family. Any thoughts on where to get AirBnB (downtown or south Tyler). I’ve never been. I prefer downtown (Azalea) but want to make sure it’s safe.
Has anyone left accounting/finance entirely for an entirely new career that doesn't involve being behind a desk most of the time?
What did you move into?
How did you juggle responsibilities like kids, wife, mortgage etc?
I've been in accounting for almost 20 years and I'm ready for something completely unrelated.

Carlos Hyde limited touches this week against the Texans? Split between him and Kerryon Johnson (Detroit@Miami). Do I wait to start him against a pretty miserable Seattle rush defense next week?
Additional Posts in Sales
Anyone know of any Sales companies (preferably medical) that are not mandating the COVID shots or willing to look at/accept exemptions? As much as I love being in the medical field, I’m willing to branch out into other Sales fields.
Hello all, so I currently am 24M working at tmobile. I just found out my store is closing at the end of this month. They're offering to transfer me but simply put I know for a fact I won't see as much traffic coming into the store so less potential for sales. I'm looking to find a good job to transition too. I do have my life and health insurance license but I didn't like what I did before. Any suggestions on good sales jobs or what to look into? I'd appreciate the help, thanks!
Is it possible to make a million in any sales position? I see so many classes and books on how to be a millionaire by selling. Seems like BS.
I’m transitioning back into the tech space after working in education the last five years. When applying to a remote Customer Success role, what would be a rough range to ask for salary, bonus, stock options? Quite a few companies are asking for this in applications.
Can't seem to find any companies that sponsor MBA's or similar masters degree for Account executives/managers? Any tips?
I understand sales may not necessarily need a masters degree to move forward but I would like to pivot into strategy or operations at some point in my career. Any insight would be much appreciated!
Looking for those in Business Development roles willing to share their salary information and time in the field.
If you were given a chance to change one decision you made in your life career-wise, what is it and why?
Anyone had success with Merchant Services sales. I'm coming back into sales after 15 years in fast food franchising after retiring for 3 years. 20+ years sales experience with consumer and industrial packaging. Thanks in advance!
I’m moving from senior BDR/SDR to senior manager of BD. What questions can I answer for current/prospective development reps?
Everything used to pay $350k on target earnings. Tech is booming but I am noticing pay has dropped substantially despite inflation. I am seeing $300k ote and most roles are set up to not hit plan. Does anyone have insight here? It sends a clear message. Just thinking experienced sellers are going to leave or pivot because they follow the money and they are going to get less experienced sellers.
I am starting a new position as an SDR at LinkedIn and thus signing a new contract. It’s an entry-level position but I have already worked in the company for some time. Would you recommend negotiating the offer or SDR entry-level positions are usually not negotiable?
(I've heard that other SDRs were earning around 40k EUR 70% base salary and 18k EUR 30% variable earnings, in Ireland)
How you all feel about sharing LinkedIn profiles, adding each other and endorsing? This will give a better boost to everyone’s profile on LinkedIn and since we share same pain of being salespersons - I would be happy to do that.
Anyone have suggestions on what to do tax/paycheck-wise if you know a big, one time bonus is coming?
How long does it take to get over ptsd from being in a toxic micromanaging environment?
I was a top biller and top manager at a large staffing company for five years and was treated like a child. The place was crazy. Six months into my new role I’m still scared to request PTO or afraid that my boss would be mad if she found that I took an afternoon break to walk my dog.
Looking for career advice. 8 total YOE and 3 1/2 in sales specifically. Just over 3 YOE with an industrial IoT company selling mostly hardware and some custom software solutions and occasionally cloud connectors as an inside sales engineer. I'm about to finish an Enterprise software sales internship at IBM but will need to find a job as a contingency in case things don't work out. Just trying to figure out what roles may make the most sense given that background. Hoping to stay in tech. Thanks!
I’m interviewing for an AE role at Affirm. Any current employees in the sales org able to talk about company culture, goals, leadership, etc?
