deloitte fish - do you charge the actual hours you work on a project or just do 45/week? my manager didn't specify but i've been told to never bill more than that.
Can I / How should I put a FAANG client on my resume? Either the name of the specific company or “FAANG company” or “Fortune X Technology Company” or something else? I’d like to know what you think best balances the credit you get for working for one of these companies, would be the least off-putting to recruiters, and obviously would not share information that should not be publicized
I am rolling off a project sooner than expected. Project wants me to go through the amendment but I don’t get the point but the time I know my result it will almost be time to roll off.
This is stirring the pot but I truly have only met a few Account Managers that are good at managing clients. I’ve been in the industry for many years at this point I can only name maybe 5 Account Managers who truly knew what they were doing. Learn to push back on unreasonable requests, provide solutions, and advocate for your client AND the agency (not JUST the client). The amount of weekends I’ve had to work because of incompetent AMs who believe their job function is to say yes to everything😭
If you have a short term (4 weeks) projects on a client, do you need a h1b amendment or just regular LCA?
Need some professional advice- how do remind my ppmd about value I bring to the project? There are two threads on the account I lead one another male manager leads the other one. Have two senior managers for each thread. Have a big offshore team for the two threads , managed by a female senior manager . We have monthly team calls for Both the thread . Two things happened today1) while talking about project leadership ppmd missed to mention me and the usi female senior manager contd
I’m new to the firm. My third project my manager was very hands off. He’s wants to have a discussion with me about my performance. He did not give me any support to work with; even when I asked! And my direct manager agrees with him, but it was my third week. What to do? I feel like I’m going to say something crazy. Any advice?
Any one else on STEM OPT? If you are working at a client location are you being rolled off? What options did HR give you?
I got pulled off my project that was going really well and I was enjoying and am getting swapped with another analyst who apparently is messing up a lot and super behind on her project. It’s nice that I’m being trusted to get things back on track but also how fair is it that she’s inheriting my well organized project that I worked really hard on and I’m inheriting her disorganized mess. Does this happen often in consulting?

Story of my consulting life -> client: "you didn't do what I asked." Me: "hmm I believe we did, let me double check." Client: "well I don't see it." *checks clients computer, has wrong version open*
What the what?! 6 hour delay in DFW, missed all client meetings. Guess I'm a real consultant now?
Would anyone be able to provide a referral and/or provide insight for a Google Project Manager role? I just know this role would be perfect/a dream (based on the description) and I’m hustling looking for my way in to Google. Would appreciate any help so much!
Downside to being poached by your federal client? I like the team and the salary is comparable (less growth maybe but that's fine with me.)
Can a startup agency use employee’s client lists from old jobs to get work? Not the case studies, but just the names. I’ve seen it before.
Does anyone else get a serious case of imposter syndrome? I BS 90%+ of my client meetings and projects have never been on fire. Been doing this for 3+ years and feels like someone will catch on...
Let’s pretend we’re holding companies. I’ll start: No, we can’t hire an extra writer even though you’re clocking 70+ hours a week. BTW, our contract with your client caps billable hours per employee because they know we don’t pay overtime. Here’s a non-billable code you should start using for the rest of the year.
Headed back to a client site for the first time since February 2020. What do people even wear anymore?! I feel like a kid playing dress up. Help.

Do I need to elect for COBRA if lateraling? I have my last day this month, so current health insurance will terminate almost immediately, and I am relocating so won't start at new firm until end of August. I am not really familiar with how COBRA works and am confused.. it seems expensive for 3 weeks.
My firm recently removed the CPA requirement to make manager in FDD stating that it is following the market. Being a CPA is definitely better than not being one but will it hurt my exit opportunities if I decide to not pursue my license? Do companies outside of public accounting even care that much about having your license / are others seeing this same trend?
So reading up on salary threads.......why does it seem as if the EY US gets paid double the EY UK salary? For context, London graduate starting salary in Advisory is roughly £32k and our minimum tax is 20%.
If my company doesn’t match 401k at all, should I pull the ~$4k out (with whatever fees that incurs for early) to fill 2020 & 2021 Roth IRA allocations before deadline is up?
I was just speaking with a couple of coworkers who told me they see doctors who don’t take insurance. Why would anyone do that? Is this just a flex?
I have two offers that I like. Taking into account culture, compensation, growth, etc, both have their strengths. Would like to see what metrics/comparisons other 🐠 have used to decide
