It’s too early to say that given the rebound elsewhere
But yes, any downward trend is good news as those numbers represents real lives
Agreed, given we are seeing second wave in almost every other country, but let's hope for the best.

Cautiously optimistic!! Think too early to call that it has peaked.
Let us keep our fingers crossed.
Like what EY said - that line represents real lives and so any progress is good.
Some relieving news in this front; hope it improves going forward!
I don’t think covid has peaked in India. The cities that are testing show increase in cases. Other cities and even some states have not ramped up testing or are throttling it. There is no way we have peaked. Also testing in villages is non existent.

So many of my relatives got Covid but only few got themselves tested. Same story was in my hometown. Any data related to Covid is wrong.

Agree... People are not going to hospital out of fear

Definitely good news but need to know what the test positivity rate is. Is the decline happening because there has been a decline in testing or is it because we have truly hit the peak? A key metric that will tell us is the positivity rate
TPR is around 8% but declining. Total number of tests are going up as well. So, trending in the right direction. However, TPR is still high compared to recommended 5% or below. Also, as someone said in the thread, testing is not uniform so there are many cases that are going undetected.
