Bf is an analyst at a hedgefund in NYC with 4 years experience, he’s looking for an exit opp to another fund. Can provide more details offline, if anyone has any leads shoot me a message, thanks :)
Hi all, it has been a month that I interviewed for a position and I haven’t heard back yet. The last status update I got from HR is that they haven’t made a final selection yet (last update from last week). Do I need to move on and just forget about this opportunity? Being feeling super down as I need a steady job. Thank you
It is just me or do other people feel like they do better in interviews when they don’t give a crap about it? I had an interview for a head of strategy position and because I thought it was such a reach position, I didn’t prep that much, and I killed the interview. Not sure if I got it, but we’ll see.
I have been contacted by Philip Morris for a director position. Now a director at a food and beverage company and 2 yrs post Mba experience in MBB. Any feedback on the company? What offer should I be expecting ?
hey all - Would appreciate opinions on two job options 1) current role: Deloitte internal tech strategy (not client facing). Enjoyable, good work/life balance and support from managers to move to other parts of firm in a year or two. 2) potential new role: Accenture tech strategy and advisory. 25k base more + signing bonus. I’m curious if those at Accenture like their jobs, what the work/life balance is, and how likely it is i’ll get pigeonholed there TIA!
Can anyone recommend a good business leadership or marketing or startup book to get as a gift for someone?
Sunday flying. Guys next to me in exit row are straight out of that Dunkin Donuts sketch from SNL last night.
Can more experienced associates exit into PE? I’m looking at a PE associate roll in a pension fund but I’m Already 30-35. Have an MBA as well…
That feeling when you talk to someone at your desired exit and they tell you that the grass is not greener 🙃
Our senior creative leadership keep talking about winning Cannes Lions and D&AD pencils but none of them have actually won any since 2007 (that’s 14 years 😭 ) and between all three of them they’ve never won more than a couple of silvers, a couple of bronzes and a couple of in-books (that’s with a combined experience of over 60 years 😭). They have no clue 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭. Tell me something about your agency so that I can feel better about the hell-hole I find myself in🙏
I’m going to be tasked with filling an expanding department soon, so I’m trying to get a jump on it now. Details: - Chicago - In-house - Aggressive/smart leadership seeking to improve output ASAP Immediate Needs: - ACD team - CW You’d be a good fit if you’re fearless, move fast, experienced across all media, and ready to take a place from 0 to 100. You’d be a terrible fit if you’re a jerk, a misogynist jerk, a racist jerk, or a close talker. Send books to the following terrible email: email@example.com
Best books on business/ negotiation/ leadership you have ever read (and use practically)!?
Applied to a role on LinkedIn Wednesday (they had easy apply). VP of Finance reached out same day via LinkedIn and liked my resume and ask I apply via their portal. I did next day and let her know when complete. How long would you wait to reach out to a potential employer to ask about next steps? This is in an industry I’m super passionate about so want to show I’m invested without being too pushy. Thanks!
I’m one of very few creative women in my shop...there are none in creative leadership. Would love a female mentor who I could show my book to, ask questions, and get general advice from. 🤞
Any agencies hiring intermediate ADs?
Book recommendation: can anyone recommend a good leadership book for aspiring (not current) people managers? Perhaps on how to get to the leadership level, or how to lead effectively as an IC. Cheers!
Is everyone always on a video call at Google? Many other companies have communication around zoom/video call fatigue, but wondering if that culture has dipped into Google's at all?
Can I use iTravel to book a personal rental car for myself (assuming that I don't expense the car cost to EY)? I don't own a car and I'm under 25 and I want to take advantage of EY negotiated rates.
If I had eyemed vision insurance last year but do not have it this year, can I still submit a claim for something I purchased in December? Or does canceling prevent me from doing so, even though the purchase was during a coverage period.
Realistically what is the max salary people will hit working 9-5 and not being a C suite?
How much encouragement do you get from administrators to try and explore in the classroom?
How long does it usually take to hear back after MBB final round? I think this was off cycle for experienced hires and it’s been 7 working days - should I keep waiting or move on? TIA!

Any recommendations on negotiating for higher $$$ on an offer that is pending expiration, while in the interview process for a few others? Just received an offer but have gotten through the initial phone screens and have upcoming second/third interviews scheduled for a few roles

Partners, a program manager running a large, newer account (with a lot of potential) is rolling off, and I have been asked to be the replacement. Any advice for taking over a new team at a new client?
How lenient are you with billing? Just saw a presentation showing the average utilization was over 95% at my mid sized consultancy and I swear I know so many people that barely have work. Like literally during the staffing calls everyone says they’re only 50% billable and are looking to take on more work.
Would anyone be willing to give-up 10% of your base salary for a standard 8-5 job in industry?
