So I’m about to start my interview process for Capital One next week for a Senior Financial Analyst position. My recruiter going give me a prep call on Friday but I wanted any advice that recruiters don’t tell you during the interview process. Also I wanted to ask if Capital One a decent place to work at. I will be working at the one in McLean Virginia if that helps.

LA is a car-culture city which blows IMO
I don’t like driving so NYC
Having done both, I say NYC. Convenience, diversity, options.
NYC. Getting around without a car makes a big difference, especially if you like events that involve alcohol. Shorter commutes (less traffic, can dodge traffic via a better subway) help too.

I’m having avocado toast, so LA
The diversity of the people you could meet in NYC is just beyond your imagination, people from all walks of life. LA is somewhat monotoned.

I would say NYC 🗽 for sure.
LA got some sexy beach boys.
I, personally, prefer NYC. Very different people culture. LA people… can be… very… LA…

I’ve lived in both. There are some similarities but in a lot of ways they are polar opposites, so it depends what you want in life. (Though some of the things often cited as differences are not actually that different, or are overrated.) Feel free to DM.
LA is marginally cheaper, has better weather, a less intense work culture, and is naturally more beautiful (but I am a biased SoCal native)
