It’s insanity out here. We’re wanting to move at the end of the school year but that’s busy season and no wonder we’ll be completely priced out. At this point not even sure we’ll get into a new home within a year. No end in sight to this madness 😔
I am in the same boat my friend🥲
Let’s promise to not bid on the same houses
Went through this last year. Found some places and went as high as possible with my VA loan only to be outbid by ridiculous cash offers taking the place as is, no inspections, etc.
I lucked out with a VA about 18 months ago, but most of my friends are going conventional and then refinancing to VA.
Almost impossible to get a VA loan to bite right now
I’m moving here but am renting until things cool off
Will they ever cool off? You mean ppl not going 150k over asking price? Or home prices going down? RE noob here
What price range is this happening? Im about to start house hunting as my lease ends. Are we saying 400k listed houses are going for 600k cash? Or is this in the million dollar listings where 100k over asking is a smaller percentage change to the ask?
Yea I am struggling to imagine walking into a house that is listed as 450 in 2022 that was probably listed as 300 in 2019, and throwing 600k at it, only to be beat by someone who threw 700k.
Not that I don’t believe it’s happening, I just struggle to imagine that conversation happening with me/my partner/my realtor and me not just saying “I’ll just rent”
