I have been laid off due to no project in EPAM anywhere. Please help me in getting immediate job with Manual testing, API testing skills. Total experience is 7.11years ans relevant experience is 3.2years. Last da will be 20th September 22. Preferred Work from Home location.

I was just laid off due to COVID. Felt invincible when the crisis began but now feel lost as if my career was ripped out with the tide. Slowly gaining motivation to get back on top

Are PMs getting laid off now?

With a recession around the corner - two questions:
1) will there be layoffs at Deloitte? My concern is we hired so much ppl this year.
2) will there be more work in org design? Just saw the Robinhood 9% workforce layoff announcement.

I think I’m going to be fired tomorrow morning and I am not even sad about it.

How realistic is it to get a remote paralegal position with less than a year experience? I was just laid off from a small firm and loved the remote work environment…

Horrible anxiety about considering a new job....
I was one of the big firm stealth layoffs in covid and joined a boutique firm in Sept. They came sort of close to matching my salary but I moved to SoCal and have an opportunity to jump back in to big law and get $100k raise. The people at the small firm are so nice, but hours are nuts and if I’m going to work this much, I might as well get paid more, right? Is it too soon? How do you tell them when the managing partner took you under his wing?

EY fish - when you are laid off, is it immediate the day you're told or do you get a little warning?

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

Is severance taxed higher? I got 1 month of pay but seemed to be taxed much higher

Tax Senior here. I’m well liked around the office, I put in the hours and work hard, I haven’t had any dumpster fire projects, but I am a mediocre performer compared to my peers (not as strong project management, communication, not as confident). I just got told they’re firing me. Should I expect severance? Have other people been fired for similar? What did you do with your career?

Is there any risk if I get a third party consulting to initiate my Perm process in parallel while am still employed with Deloitte? Have 19 months to max out, Deloitte says they have removed pause but has not opened up enrollment yet? Will RFE etc from one company affect the petition from another?

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover

What to pursue next? CMA, CA, CFA or any other licenses?Have been working in big4 for more than two years now. Passed CPA. Hesitant to take CFA as it's a 3 yr commitment and not quite related to CPA.
