Feels like that’s not enough of a difference to be working just for the money. And if love of work gets you to better work, more money will come later, right?
Life is pizza or pizza is life?
($20). ($20)

Always go for the good work.
You dont always have that choice. Most of the times the choice is between bad and worse.
270
270, save the extra 70 or more, retire early.
After 204k, your tax BASE jumps through the roof. Your net on federal at 270k is around 195k (state tax not included). The net on 200k is around 155k. What is 40k worth to you in those terms?
200 - 270 for an ACD role????? Where is that??
Ahhh yes. Details!
🤑💰🤑
Depends. If the $200K is at Wieden and the $270K is at FCB Health then I think the choice is clear.
FCB Health would have to pay me three times 270 to get me there… hahaha.

Once left a job for an extra $15K and had regrets soon after. I’d rather get paid to do work I love.
If I worked for money, I’d move to San Francisco and make $184,000 to clean 💩 off the streets.

Go for the good work.
You won’t feel a difference in your salary with day to day boring work. You’ll only grow to resent it.
Unless you have a great WLB and have lots of great hobbies. I think you might be a master of your craft and care… many do not
I’d ask 1) which offers better WLB and stability? 2) are you “obsessed with your craft” - like truly, do you care? /// at that level of money, I assume you have done good work with a good book. I’d take the money and live life.
1. Similar WLB, the $270 will be more stable, as it’s less risky, expected work, and repetitive work. 2. I am obsessed with my craft, and probably care more then most people on every project I’ve been on. 2.1. I enjoyed doing good work, I find it hard and annoying to do good enough work.
I'd ask about WLB, and try to get a sense of how good the work is and how much I would enjoy doing said work. Plus as I interview, see how much I gel with the team. Team dynamics are important to me as well as everything else mentioned.
