Love this bowl. Can you all provide some recommendations as I look to expand my collection?

Some of my favorites are
Scotch: oban, balvenie, macallan
Bourbon: woodford, bookers, four roses

Looking at glenfarclas and yamazaki next if I can find but other recs would be great!

bourbon: new riff, buffalo trace
rye: old forrester, rittenhouse
blended: hibiki

many others but these are a few that could easily become staples

like

Bourbon: Angel's Envy, Knob Creek, Makers Mark, Russell Reserve, Eagle Rare

Scotch: Aberlour, Glenmorangie, Glenfarclas

Love Yamazaki. Good next choice.

Bourbon: money shoulder, basil Hayden's, pappy, woodford reserve, Evan williams, elijah craig

Scotch. Lagavylin, bunnahabhain, taliskers, aberlour, balvenie

Makers, Four Roses, Knob Creek, Angels Envy.

First I'd like to know what's your taste preference: sweat, peatyness, metallic, etc.

On the sweeter side, lagavulin is about as peaty as I enjoy. Highland type single malts are favorite and some bourbons

With that OP, here you go...
Bourbon: Blade & Bow
Whiskey: Westward
Scotch: Tomatin and give Talisker a chance. I prefer Talisker Storm. Still waiting to try the Dark Storm

Anytime.

Hey guys,
I’m currently a quality control analyst in the biopharma/gene therapy field making 72k base in the Houston area. I’ve been working here for 2 years and my company is well established and the job is easy, but I honestly just want higher pay. I see companies (smaller and larger) that potentially can give me that but would it be worth it? I’m having a hard time finding out what opportunities/paths I can take and what amount of $ would be worth moving jobs for. Any insight is appreciated!

I have a call on Monday for an in house job where I’d be drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in areas that I’m not familiar with. I applied to the job because it’s in an industry I’d like to break into and at a company I adore. To note, I’m currently a first year lit associate. What questions should I be prepared for regarding transferability of my skills? Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Cracked this Penelope Barrel Strength (Batch 7) yesterday and was surprised how good it was.

Recommend it if you like sweeter notes (pear, cherry, honey) and are ok with the slightly raw finish that's typical for a younger bourbon.

I’ve been curious about this one for a while, finally landed a bottle in CA. At a price of $130, there are so MANY better options out there. Thin and fleeting flavor profile, just meh all around. If your friend is pouring, it’s worth trying, hard to justify the buy though.

I know my fans are waiting for the unusual. But sometimes you need to repeat so you can clear out a bottle to make room. That’s tonight’s lack of effort with the last pour of Knob Creek 9 Year Single-Barrel Reserve. Nice dark color with noticeable char and a pleasant savory bite that takes the edge off the sweetness.
