Mitre has racism deeply embedded in its recruiting, interviewing, and hiring practices.
It has a few token DEI efforts but don’t believe the hype. Mitre is largely stale, pale, and male.

I interned at Mitre in Clear Lake TX (next door to Johnson Space Center) back in the early ‘90. It was a nice experience but I wasn’t ever super sure what I was supposed to be delivering! I did get them to donate a robot arm they had in storage to my university robotics lab, which was nice of them.
