Is there any fellow consultant who'd like to go on a date to watch the biopic on the captain of the Indian cricket team? And then, paint the city red 🙌🏻 #hopeful
How do you keep your knowledge fresh, remain on top of latest business ideas/concepts and developments? Do you follow any publications or podcasts regularly, or read books? Any recommendations?
I’m starting to feel defeated but yet I’m still hopeful. I’ve gone through 12 interviews with Salesforce, yes 12, since Aug. ‘21. And I’ve had great feedback but just get that “an internal grabbed the job. The timing isn’t right, but try this team”. I have 7 years of Business Dev. experience and 4 years of Enterprise account management with a portfolio totaling $24mil in revenue ‘21. Any tips for a hopeful AE? Anyone willing to connect and I can share my resume?
Paranoid that my utilization is low this year and my current assignment ends right before our yearly review happens
Is there a big learning curve when moving from one industry to another in FDD? I’ve currently been working on healthcare deals for a year, and I’m interested in trying out tech.
Week 4 of Gym Now I am able to do workout about 2 hrs compared to previous week it was just 1 hr hardly. Initial 2 week I gain weight 79 to 84 kg and I loss the weight to 81 kg. Anyone have good book recommendations ? Here are some books that I’ve read and enjoyed: -moonwalking with Einstein: Josh foer -most human human: Brian Christianson -alone together: sherry turkle -think again: Adam grant -Jewish comedy: Jeremy dauber Like books with people in academic background or an expert, want to avoid anecdotal books and Malcom Gladwell (nothing against MG-just like books based of studies/experiment) like non-fiction and Jewish history.
Change my mind: PLA leadership does not care about the PLA employees. I have more than 90% utilization for this year and at the end have received a paltry 3.75% comp raise. Where is all the money that the firm made this year going to? I will not be surprised if all the MDs have consumed most of the profits and have left peanuts for the employees. Where is the transparency in the comp numbers that we asked for? We have just received lip service in return to these questions.
I'm a new adjuster but have great metrics and feel I'm doing fairly well. My family is struggling living paycheck to paycheck. I've been with my company about 7 months but I feel other companies pay more. I don't want to leave though. Any tips for asking for a salary increase? I was promoted a few months in to a tier 2 but no pay raise goes with that. Thanks for any advice.. I'm at 47k a year. I wanted to go SIU but obviously there is no immediate significant pay bump. Ultimately aiming for 60k
Has an MD ever dropped an Fbomb on you?
If I’m looking in-house, I know sometimes titles are a bit different. What is typically the crossover for a senior AD/AD. If they don’t have AD roles. Is it Designer?

What is the career trajectory and compensation for Product Management in tech? A computer science student here asking.
I have a small business that I started last Fall. In an effort to just get started I choose a business name that included my name. As I continue to grow I want to rebrand with a more generic, but catchy name. How did you all come up with your business name?
I know that compensation varies a lot by industry, company, geography, practice area, etc, but what are the higher end (I guess 75th-100th percentile) total comp figures for in-house folks (approx 6-8 years experience) at larger, well-compensated companies? I’m quite underpaid in my current in-house role (155k base, 10% bonus, no equity) and have strong experience (top 3 school, 5 yrs in V10 Biglaw, reputable current employer), and am looking for new in-house roles with market-leading comp.
