I think you should see some sort of therapist even if it’s just for a session or 2. I’m sure there are some unresolved feeling about the relationship that you may need to get off your chest and therapy is a perfect place to do that

I’m very Sorry things didn’t work out. But consider this moment (no matter how difficult it may be) as a second chance and fresh start at life.

Best of luck to you.

Thank you. I will sign up for a session and see where this path takes me.

Do you think you need counseling? It probably wouldn’t hurt to feel things out with a counselor to determine if further counseling is needed. This is obviously a significant change in your life and many people would need someone to talk to.

If you are going back and forth on it, you should try counseling. It can only help.

Counseling always helps, especially in extenuating circumstances. Would help you process thoughts and emotions properly to move on.

I agree. Will defiantly take this route.

I was also in a similar boat when I divorced. Long marriage that started when I was young. I’m now 43 and spent the first year post divorce getting counseling and learning how to date without getting myself into anything serious again right away.

My biggest advice would be to not jump right back into something serious right away. It seems natural to want to do this, but you have to allow yourself the natural process of grief and rediscovery of self.

I don’t understand why American men leave their house they have a argument or divorce!

It’s complicated.

Why did you get divorced?

Because we grew apart. Out grew each other.

Here’s how to withdraw your funds from FTX

Hedge Withdrawals

Open a position on FTX and an opposing position on another exchange (perhaps Binance for the irony) for the same financial exposure. If the position on FTX profits, keep trading. As the position on FTX experiences losses, the opposing position on the other exchange profits. Keep it up until you’ve depleted the funds on account at FTX the close your opposing position. You’ve successfully withdrawn funds using a hedge. You’re welcome.

My bf took a guys trip to Caribbean to celebrate a good friend of 20+ year’s milestone bday. The friend’s bday is the day before mine. Normally bf and I trip for my bday over the holiday weekend. Bf will be back for my actual bday, and we’re taking a domestic trip next weekend. That said, I still feel a little miffed that we’re not spending this weekend together like normal. Are my feelings unreasonable?

Has anyone else’s husband just never really given them complements? My husband refuses to because he says it would make it meaningless when he says them (so he doesn’t say I look nice in case on the ~5 times he says it a year it would be ‘watered down’). I really struggle with it sometimes, and it’s also hard because he expects little affirmations from me (which I happily do anyway because I want him to feel loved)

Bf said on video he made his decision to breakup, and asked to meet on Sunday to talk in person. If he’s already decided, what’s the point of meeting up and break up one more time? (He said we have very different values. He thinks I look for stability, quality time, family, have a place, someone to come home to when he wants to travel and build businesses. He feels like the relationship is not letting him do what he wants to do at max capacity because of resistance he feels from me)

TLDR; He really let himself go, had no interest in things I found fun, was uncompromising, had a terrible work ethic, delusions of grandeur, unrealistic goals that he put zero effort towards, etc. At the time of the break up his inability to get a job (cont.)
