Tu NY aa OP, itne desi dikhenge office mein, lagega Mumbai mein baitha hai.
find people my age within the desi community. Is it just me, or is there a significant lack of South Asians in their early-mid 20s who are in the field? Most people I meet have years of industry experience and then venture into consulting when theyre ready to settle down. I’ve also seen a huge disparity in the Indians who are born/raised here vs. most of the industry who has come here after spending most of their lives in India or elsewhere. Just curious to learn if this is the general dynamic, or if it’s just my exposure being limited. Also curious to hear from others like me (early/mid 20s, first-second job out of school)
Most people you’ve met got into consulting when they are ready to settle down ? That alone implies you have extremely limited exposure.
By the way, that is one incoherent post.
Depends on where you are based. Plenty of desi consultants where I'm at!
Yeah no idea what you’re talking about OP. We affectionately call ourselves the Bombay Consulting Group
OP: are you sure you're not based out of some office in the Dakotas?
Only then does your post make sense- no south Asians, get into consulting when they're ready to settle down since they wanna get out of the Dakotas etc.
