Is 120k salary enough to enjoy DC ?
New to Fishbowl?

Salary is within range, a bit lower than average I'd expect but not far off and the bonus is fantastic
OP are you in the public sector? I ask because you still called it people and change and I don’t know anyone working in that area, outside of public sector that would still call it that. Other reason, I ask is because I thought M2 non mba salary was 143 in ny.
EY pays better than PwC? That’s news to me....
Yeah about $170k all in. Base out of new york and I work in people and change. Appreciate all the perspective you all provided
Yeah holy shit on bonus. I made like 180k last year and got a $7k bonus in a promotion year
Looks like you don’t follow much. EY is reputed in B4
Market for paying bonuses like peanuts. EY last. K okay 2-15ish. PwC 8-34ish. D 5-35ish
PWC gives out way better bonuses than EY but has lower base salaries. All in are similar
What type of work are you doing?
As M2, I made $132k and received a $36k bonus at year-end as a top performer.
Do you have an MBA, OP? I thought post-MBAs were SCs and made $145K+, so would assume an M1 would make more
I do have an MBA by the way, not sure its heavily considered with this payment structure
Only matters if you have an MBA from a target school, which would would put you in a different cohort grid from where you are now.
OP - Pretty sure yours mba is not a target mba.
Bonus is at par with mine/others. Base is little low than market. Usually it’s should be around 145/150 base for an M2...
Is it me or DT and PWC give way better bonuses than EY
PWC has a terrible cohort system that caps base salaries much lower than EY base pay
Salary bands are the same, but internal are mostly lower end of the band while lateral hires come in at the high end
P2 what tier city are you in and do you have an MBA? 185k is not the cohort for any manager within advisory
Which city ?
So like aroubd 170k all in?
Depends a lot on location, base sounds a little low, but bonus is very strong for big4
