Looking for some thoughts on the pros/cons of contract work/temp-to-perm roles VS full time direct hire? I’ve been an EA for 30 years and have always been direct hire. Anybody out here know of any “development programs” for mid career professionals looking to transition to sales? Have a data/analytics b/g., but I’m much more social than a “typical” data/analytics person. We have a program at my company that I’m networking to get into, but believe it’s prudent to diversify options, as there is obviously no guarantee that they select me for the program.

I’m looking at applying to MBA programs and know most have veteran/military programs and clubs that seem to offer help with the admissions process. These are obviously very competitive schools and I’d like to use any resource possible, but I can’t tell if these are only intended for people transitioning from active duty. I’ve only been in the Reserve (with a deployment) and have an established civilian career. Does anyone know if these groups would be receptive to me?

I feel that former employer might have slandered my reputation. Almost a year ago, I had accepted a physical therapist position with the VA and all was going well until I get a call from their HR department saying that they had to rescind the offer due to something that came up in my background. Never been arrested or have any legal complaints filed against me. VA said I’d have to file a FOIA request. Which meant all the info was blacked out when I got the info I requested. What do I do?????
