Macan owners, how did you spec yours, and what are you happy with getting/regret getting? I’ve come to the conclusion that a Macan is really hard to beat for the price as an emotion inspiring do-it-all

Premium package, rear fascia and side runners in exterior color, sport chrono and I love all of them.
I also got wireless charging and it’s useless and a waste of money.

I got a 2021 Macan S in white

Own a 2017 GTS, likely ordering a 2022 GTS. Ventilated seats are a must as is Bose, as is the roof rails and tow package (for bikes/gear). Sure, you can do the Sport Chrono to go quickly for a few seconds. I personally don’t spend money on the visuals (leather wrapped vents, colored seatbelts) because it doesn’t change the experience of the vehicle.

Unless you’re a professional driver or plan on tracking your Macan, no need for the additional suspension goodies. On a public road—you won’t get anywhere near pushing the limitations of the chassis/suspension. I’ve got air in my GTS, it also comes with the sport exhaust system so it sounds amazing. In my 911, I went with the sport exhaust system and it definitely brings the soul of the vehicle alive.

I just got the premium package on my 2022. Good enough. I would opt for better rims tho. Also mine is a Macan S and it does the job. Macan S on the 2023 is the 2022 Macan GTS engine so Macan S should be good enough honestly

like

Yes but also the GTS now has 440hp for “only” $8k more the way I spec’d it 😆 but joking aside I get your point. I’m gonna inquire about the lease payments on the S and GTS the way I spec’d them too, I think for financing the GTS is too much of a stretch after factoring running costs/insurance but for an attractive lease price, I think I’d go for leasing a GTS vs owning an S. But again to your point, the S is plenty powerful as it is

I skipped the premium package bc I don’t care for most of the things on there and likewise trying to save money by going with the default rims, although treating myself with the colored crests.

Do you have any maintenance issues with yours? I’m hearing a lot about oil leaks which don’t get noticed bc the engine drips on the underbody cover, which absorbs the oil instead of letting it drip down to the street so people don’t realize they’re leaking oil for a while

What “price” are you considering, the options add up quick

I know there’s a bunch of tunes for the S, so maybe not worth the extra $$ for the GTS, but I’m looking for the fastest engine and best suspension above all else, and then some nice exotic touches like red leather or colored seat belts and Porsche crest in the ventilated seats (GTS comes with GTS embroidered, which counts in my book)

Here’s my potential GTS spec:

I gotta do a little more side by side research into what I get standard on the GTS that I wouldn’t get on the S, but in these specs I think they’re pretty identical

Get the GTS

it comes with most options you’d put on anyway and holds value better

Any reason you chose a Macan over something like a SQ8?

I’d rather look at the Porsche key
