Do you consider any of the “Big 4” accounting firms a business involved with securities regulation compliance consulting? The con compete section in my current employment agreement with my GRC firm restricts me from going to a “business involved with securities regulation compliance consulting”. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
Are there any Big 4 or middle market firms that have national tax/policy (WNTS, NTS, etc.) practices that won’t work you to death?
How do you go about disclosing it to your partner/team if you’re jumping ship from one b4 to another? Don’t want to burn bridges
In a world of remote consulting work…. How long can the US maintain its high premium over European and, esp. developing market consulting? Both price tag to clients and significantly higher salaries for the people. I imagine may move faster at Big 4, etc. than MBB, but within MBB the huge cost and salary differentials feel… increasingly hard to maintain (even though I think the differential has actually gotten bigger, not smaller in the last two years). Thoughts?
What does a manager with 8-10 years in Big 4 consulting experience (5-6 years in FSI) make in the market today?
Pros/cons of going from a big 4 firm to a national, regional or advisory specific firm at a higher level? Is it worth it?
Can anyone help with salary slabs for consulting in Dubai (big 4) - senior manager and director? Base + variable.
Which big 4 would be better for M&A? I'm interested in eventually attempting a lateral transfer into investment banking. I know it's a long reach but want to have an option that doesn't involve getting an MBA. Thanks!
Which of B4 + MBB pays SWE/DS the most? I know they can't compare to FAANG, but just among these guys, who pays the most? Who has the best talent/tech implementations?
What’s big 4 to another big 4 experienced sm signing bonuses looking like in FDD, right now?
Anyone from Minneapolis? What’s the average pay outside big 4 for someone who has 4 years of audit experience?
People that’ve switched from Big 4 to industry or vice versa, could you share the reason for your switch, and if you regret the move? And which level were you when you made the change?
Could anyone refer me to a non-B4 firm for audit? Getting pretty discouraged with the application process. I have about 3 years of industry experience, and 6 months of audit at a regional firm which was cut short by COVID. I should have my CPA license by the end of the month.

Just received a text asking about layoffs in the Big 4 in tax. I don’t know of anything. Who is laying off tax talent right now?! Tax reform could happen again in literally a few months!
Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?
For those of you who have gone the HR consulting route, any advice on starting out? I just fell into an opportunity that is too good to pass up. I'm not planning to leave my day job at this point, but I'm certainly interested in the prospect of growing a consultancy.
Tip for London US embassy appointments - spend some time refreshing the reschedule date page - it's booked up until March but occasionally someone may cancel / switch - I managed to snag an early October interview today
Anyone willing to help with a resume review/edit? I am in advisory consulting and would like to transition to strategy preferably MBB.
Has anyone ever had a student in their classroom who became very sick part way through the school year? What did you do to show support as a teacher/school community?
I’m making 130 TC post MBA in NYC. I’m not unhappy about my job/company but it feels like there are a ton of better paying opps I could switch to. Am I right to think that? Would you be looking to move elsewhere in my position? Ive been in this role 1 year mainly doing market opp work
Life of non-immigrants depend on the Visa they hold and it’s so sad these companies don’t have a team where we can speak to someone immediately in case of a visa emergency situation . In EY you need to submit a form and wait for days together to get a reply from a human. Mean time you would have gone through 5 anxiety attacks.
I just reached lifetime platinum at SPG. But, I still can’t figure to turn on lamps in the room.. quickly enough.🤦🏼♂️

Hi Folks - I wanted to understand..how is H1B 6 years duration counted? Is it strictly by the dates on the petition? In my petitions for example, first one was valid starting Oct 2017 and then I got an extension in 2020 till Feb 2023.. so that just equates to about 5 years and 4 months. So is my H1B only till Feb 2023 or it can extended to allow for the remaining period?
Question for the group. I am an experienced individual currently searching to get out of private and into public. I am a CFE and Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME) with an MBA and am scheduled to take AUD of CPA on May 13th. Am I barking up the wrong career tree to try to exchange an extensive and diverse career into what appears to be specialization within public? I really enjoy project work as the monthly grind has worn very, very thin. Opinions?
I wish I could travel back in time and work on the Street during the 80s. Not exactly stand up gentlemen, but it looked like a hell of a lot more fun.
Hi fishes, Please help. I have submitted pre-interview form sent by EY . I have keyed in 2 information wrongly. What should I do now? Kindly help if you know about it.
First year M&A associate. I never came into big law wanting /expecting to gun or make partner, and first year pretty much confirmed that. I'm more than happy to leave for in house in 4-6 years and live a much more chill life. Knowing this, what is the best way to max out the $'s? I'm thinking of considering auto-lateral at year 2/3 and again at 4/5 just for the signing bonus (I know things may change and maybe I wouldn't do it if I loved my firm or got an in house job), but is this viable?
Three weeks to leave for MBA, assigned to a new project. Please send me some words of support to not throw everything away and give up just now!
