I have an interview for a position at Slalom coming up for Slalom Emerge and was wondering what I should be expecting. I had a pretty good chat with the recruiter and I'm happily employed as is, but I'm always happy to test the waters. Any insights into the job, interview, negotiations process, working environment, culture, travel, etc.? It would be in the integration area. Thanks!
Do you guys write cover letters when applying online (aka no referral)? I used to follow that rule and then got bored, but I'm wondering how much difference it really makes these days
How do you respond to an interview call for a potential project? Like someone calls you to gauge your interest and tells you what the project is. Usually I don't know anything about the project so...
As a relatively new hire out of a top undergrad school, how long should I wait before applying to MBB if I got rejected after final round interviews last year?

Friend of mine was coaching me on an upcoming Amazon interview. “They’ll be looking for any reason not to hire you.” I’m frankly not sure I’d want to work somewhere that thinks like that.
I want to switch role as an AWS developer. But I have just learnt the things on my own in AWS. In interview I am asked questions based on real scenarios on which I am not having any experience. Any suggestions? Even if I do hands on on services like Linux academy or quiklabs, it would not help. (AWS cloud migration experience one can get if worked on a real project). Please help.
Just received a verbal offer from Accenture but have a call with Deloitte later. Should I cancel on Deloitte or take the interview? 👀
Any Big4 attorneys have insight into PWCs People In Deals group? Interview coming up and could use the help. TIA!
Senior consultant with 7 YoE. Have led multiple projects, been on projects as an assistant product manager (Agile environment and all). Skill set has been mostly SQL, python, tableau. And different ecosystems like snowflake, ssis, aws, mssql, data bricks etc. Trying to move out of consulting , unsure of the kind of roles to target at FAANG and honestly it’s been 7 years since I interviewed so kinda feel very under confident. Anyone in a similar boat?
Any immigration attorneys have advice for a marriage based green card interview? My interview for my wife is coming up and I’m just trying to see if there’s anything we should be mindful of.
I am interviewing for a new role and often get asked about a few clients/projects that I did not manage or work on in a day to day capacity. As the department head I gave my team a lot of autonomy to lead their projects, and outside of weekly check ins, I only got involved during RFP stage and when issues came up. I knew in broad strokes what they were working on but wasn’t approving deliverables. So when interviewers ask about these sexy projects we did, I am usually very honest ... (cont)
How do experienced consultant fit interviews differ from those with non-consultant candidates? Do they still ask “why consulting” type questions or is the focus more “why our firm” and achievements?
Do associates @ other strategy shops spend a lot of time sourcing/conducting interviews?

Hello everyone, I have an upcoming case study with one of the big 4 for a M&A generalist position at manager level. Does anyone have any guidance based on: "Nothing particular to prep, we will share an information memorandum with you and you and you will be given a number of questions. We will ask you to read that for an hour in your own time and then present answers to the questions for 30 minutes to myself and another director. The questions will be a mix of qualitative and quantitative."
India: Are there anyone who applied for PF Advance (COVID) twice? I’ve availed it once but skeptical if I can apply again. Please shed some light!
What are your thoughts on putting the "extended cut" of spots into a portfolio? Better to use the best version or total cop-out to not get the job done in :30/use what actually aired?
Any deloitte moms know how Corp card is impacted during leave? Just want to make sure I don’t lose all my points or do I need to cash them out before going on leave
What is your take on cameras within the classroom setting? Does anyone have them already installed?
This is my little furball Sheero. He always used to chase me with his Little feat, wagging his little tail all around the house. Whenever I used to be busy on my laptop with work, he just used to sit on my lap and sleep like a peaceful baby. He was such a good puppy. He is now resting with angles up in the heaven and I miss him a lot ❤️.
Two-thirds of women say they’ve been bullied by another woman at work. What’s your take on it? I’m pretty sure that we’re equal with men on that one. Should bullying be assigned a gender?
[Promotion & PERM] Scenario1: The firm already sent PWD and did the market test for Manager level, but before they got to file in the PERM, you're promoted Senior Manager. Q1. What's the impact of a promotion from Manager to Senior Manager on the ongoing PERM? Does it void the PWD and Market test? Would need to start over? Anyone went through this? Scenario2: The firm didn't file PWD yet: Q2. Could they anticipat the promotion and start PWD and Market test for SM before your promotion?
Is there a time when people generally “start” work remotely? Back when I was a summer before the pandemic, I commonly saw people go in between 9-10 am but I didn’t know what the norm is now that we are remote. I see emails at 8 am and I’m not sure if I’m expected to respond then or not. Also if you are on a deal where some of the members are in NY and you’re in the Midwest, are you expected to go by their times and be on when they are on?
Do you have a place where you're able to lock up your stuff in your classroom? I don't and I'm not sure if I should make a big deal about it.
Curious what Admissions would think about a gap in work experience? I would love to leave b4 and spend full time studying for GMAT/ searching for a new job w better wlb. Insight/input much appreciated.
Got a bit too drunk at a work happy hour. Nothing embarrassing happened but I definitely blacked out and could’ve said stuff that I wouldn’t have said sober. Everyone else was also drinking quite a bit, so it was fine but not ideal and I’ve just been ashamed. Lesson learned. This happen to anyone? How do you get over the shame/anxiety of “what happened?”

Hi Fishes I joined EY GDS this month but not liking the work in the assigned project. It is not as per my expectations and not suitable as a developer. I have another offer from Bristlecone. Inclusion question. I am not sure what gender pronouns my barber prefers. This person appears to be a male (full beard, deep voice, etc.). I’ve noticed that the Google reviews reference this person as a female and when I called the shop to ask for my barber - the person who picked up also used a female pronoun. Barber has never corrected me when I refer to them as a man… I want to be inclusive and respect their identity. How can do this respectfully?
