Regardless of whether it’s one other person or ten, it’s really about whether you are right or best for the role. Because it can be between you and one other person, and they still can opt for neither. But good luck! Stay positive, and if this role isn’t right, it just means you will be available for the one that is a great fit.

Maybe you can rephrase it as “is there anything in my background or on my resume that makes you question whether I’m a good fit?” Or ask the recruiter “what rockstar qualities is the team looking for?” Sometimes I ask the team “what is something you’d like to see the person in this role accomplish in the first 90 days?” Then I tie my accomplishments to their response so they can see I can do the job and then some.
It definitely doesn’t matter. But I’ve been in this interview process for over a month with them… there was a long delay these last couple of weeks and I pretty much wrote them off, but they came back today and advanced me to the final round. It’s been a rollercoaster ride and I guess I just want to be realistic of my odds.
Is it 1/10? 1/3? 1/20?! Who knows! 😓
I asked in my last stage and they told me it was me vs one other and I finally got the offer so it's actually kind of fun to know
Personally, I wouldn’t. We are constantly interviewing in my office so whether I told you 0 or 100, it’s just a bad idea.
🙄 I inquired every time I remembered when interviewing. It does make a difference. Knowing the amount of people I was up against helped me gauge the response time with Interviews and gave me more of an idea as to how much leverage I have regarding possible salary negotiations.
