Major pet peeve - uber drivers who ask me when I am going to the airport and how I should call them the day before and arrange a ride. Why the fuck would I do that?

I do that when I'm ubering in an area where the closest black car is 15+ minutes out... Very convenient when they're ready waiting for you

like

I had a good relationship with an uber driver for awhile, it was great when I could depend on a black car for very early morning flights

like

I know a guy who's my regular for pickup and drop. We regularly charge how much uber usually costs. And he will wait for me, play the music I like, it's good. If you find the right person.

like

I had a regular guy take me to the airport. The benefit is that you'll always know your ride will be there when you need them and the persons good. It's really a win-win, you should probably consider it.

like

So you can not use the uber app and have them try to overcharge you.

A more personalized Uber experience? A true snob.

My opinion: you're a new consultant. You're dealing with individuals who have their shit together and have a plan to get more business outside of uber. Furthermore- these individuals have great service and cater to consultant lifestyles. You're just not ready for that. Want to stick to the basics. 😩

I had a great review and a 5.5% raise and a great bonus at my company. But I also got a new Director and a peer manager of mine left the company, so I will be absorbing her team. In addition, my director said I will be receiving 'deep delegation' from them. I don't mind more work, but deep delegation is a new term I've never heard. What does that mean lol?

Hi Fishes

I gave all the technical rounds at Walmart Global Tech Bangalore for Data Scientist position.
They gave the feedback after 1 week and said right now you don't fit.

I told them that my interview went great, I answered 80-90% of questions correctly and topics which I didn't know and I told interviewer directly (1-2 questions only)

They are saying interviewer told neither positive nor negative about the interview. I don't know why they are saying this
What should I do?

What does everyone think of this... is replying all necessary ? I had a colleague reply all to complain about student evaluations that we had all agreed to complete. The colleague challenged the teachers who had completed the evaluation of a student and demanded that they check other students that had passed (since personally they thought some of those evaluations were questionable)... ALL because it wasn’t fair that this student was not passing.

London folk, question for you: do firms and offices in London not recruit candidates directly? I hardly see positions advertised on the websites of these firms but there are vacancies that they seem to recruit for through recruiters. What’s the deal here? Does it make sense to approach firms by yourself at all? Would appreciate any insight I can get on the matter. Thank you!
