Making 67k, company matches 5%. Should I have 6% in a traditional 401k and 6% in a Roth? Or all 12% in one or the other?? I’m thinking all 12% should go into the Roth. I’ve searched the bowl and noted that Roth is better for lower income but just essentially wanting some confirmation of my interpretation?

Your match will be traditional. At that income, I’d personally go 100% Roth.

Do you know for a fact that your 401K has the Roth option or is it “after-tax”. The two are not the same

PwC does not offer Roth, only after tax for purposes of MBDR

I'd go 100% Roth in your scenario

Agreed. Switch before you hit that 32% bracket. That’s where the pain starts

That's the when the pain starts.... If you're planning to spend a shit ton in retirement. Most people aren't going to need to spend $100K+ in retirement, unless they planned to live lavishly on purpose

What is everyone’s number? I did the math and at a 7% annual return on my 401k and investment account (accounts for max 401k each year and conservative brokerage allocations each year) I could be at around 8m by 50. Does that seem like a reasonable age & number?

I’m 30, with no kids, currently paying $540/mo for a whole life insurance policy through my advisor (family friend, mind you) at NWM. No debt, investing 2k a month into other more traditional investments (e.g., 401k, ira). I care less about the death benefit but I’ve been repeatedly reminded about the guaranteed RoR associated with the cash value - does this investment vehicle make sense to continuing with? TIA!
