We have a dress for your day policy. 9/10 days I wear jeans, slip-on shoes, and a polo shirt. And we're an AmLaw100 firm. Hope your firm sees the light too someday soon. Seems more and more are.

No and haven’t for 8-10 years.
Ties in my office mean 1) court, 2) depo (where you haven’t agreed with counsel to go business casual, which happens occasionally), 3) mediation/arbitration, or 4) some, but not all client meetings.
Or (5) interviewing
Every day except for Fridays.

I once saw a young woman attorney in court in a blazer and yoga pants type tights. She was also wearing Loubs.
No, with one or two exceptions amongst the litigators.
One firm required ties (but no jacket) Mon-Thu. But everywhere else has been “tie = court/depo/client meeting/date with the mistress.”
My firm “requires” a suit and tie but I ignored the tie part and no one has bothered to address me about it. So I think I’m good. But I’m in a small firm, run by a guy who is very old school.

Business casual M-Thurs, jeans on Fridays. Suit on court days obviously.
Never, ever.
95% of the time for me, all my choice (transactional lawyer, no court ever). I like ties and they pull an outfit together. If your tie is uncomfortable your shirt doesn’t fit or your tie is tied too tight. Only times I don’t wear one is if I’m hungover
