Moms, would you or have you elected for c section over vaginal birth? I am not sure I want to go through the labor pains :(
What are you paying for daycare/nanny costs in NYC? My wife and I are expecting our first child last this year and I’m curious if what I’m finding online is accurate.
I regret not having done my MBA from an IVY League B school. I have seen industry and HR professionals being biased towards people from IIMs and so on. While I am currently doing decently well, I can't help feel bad for experiencing the bias in terms of promotions and CTC. Even the new/baby IIMs (some of which I have left to join my B school) are now given more importance. How can I offset this bias?
What jobs are there that: 1. Pay $500k+ USD 2. Have a 9-5 schedule or less than 40 hours a week of work
Need some strength 🐠s - my wife and I just had a baby a few weeks ago and her fuse has been so short it’s scary. I know postpartum rage is a serious thing but these episodes are hard to fend off and support her through. She’s also making digs that make it sound like I’m a horrible dad/partner and haven’t supported her at all through this (hard not to be hurt because this isn’t true). Any tips on how to support her through this when she’s constantly criticizing?
I know this has been asked 1047 times but I’m so beyond frustrated at this point. I CANNOT find cute maternity clothes. I’ve looked at pink blush, seraphine, H&M, all department stores, asos, target. Literally everywhere. HELP. I need clothes that aren’t just sweatpants that I can wear possibly to work and out of my house.
currently pregnant..My husband is telling me that he's not willing to change our future baby's diapers....is this reasonable to accept?
🐠 who have kids late (maybe after 35?), are you worried that your teenage kids might be embarrassed by how old you are? Other moms/dads are in their 30s, nice looking and cool, but we are in our late 40s even 50s.
Big law dads (especially junior associates), need some advice. I’m burnt out as hell, have low energy levels, hit a wall with work (haven’t really taken a vacation in 2+ years), and have two young kids. I can’t quit the job to recover because I have five mouths to feed (kids + a parent) and every day feels like a grind due to the burn out. Spouse doesn’t understand why I’m dead, and she complains that I’m not doing enough at home. How do I heal? Quitting isn’t an option, we have no fall back.
I like my friends kids a lot but I’m not sure I’ll ever want my own. I’d love to just be an auntie. Except my SO wants them. Pretty sure there’s a pending hard convo. How did you know you didn’t? Besides those who always knew… Be gentle 😔
Can we make a confession thread? Something we’re not proud of but it’s who we are lol Here’s mine: I can be shallow and materialistic. A lot of the times 🙄
Has anyone been in a long term relationship where wedding just got pushed to the sideline-- committed, happy etc, and thoughts about having a kid come up? Did you have regret having a kid prior to getting married? Always wanted to wait and do things in "order" but at this point between age, pandemic and life getting in the way feel pressured to just start trying...
Approved by doctor/HR to remain remote and it’s not going over well( we were told we would remain remote, which included giving up our desks, but are now being asked to come in two days). The person who seemed the most annoyed by my request is my direct boss. I found it odd because she announced she was only doing one day because she was pregnant and the director was basically like “ok”. I don’t want to put a target on my back and I do enjoy the work. Should I just bite the bullet and come in?
How in the world do you ladies manage to make dinner every day? By the time i leave the office, do pickup at daycare and come home it’s 6 pm and my babies go to sleep 7-7:30. Like how?? I feel like such a bad mother I don’t cook and we basically live off takeout 🥺😣
People 30+ in serious relationships or who are married: what do you *really* think of your single friends?
I'm pregnant with my managers child 😳
How many of you had a first transfer success? Curious to hear what issues prevent it from happening
Is being a mom of 2 just supposed to make you feel like you’re failing at motherhood and at work?? I thought being a first time mom, I handled everything better… I need realistic answers not patronizing responses
Does anyone genuinely not want kids? I'm in my mid 20s and every time I bring it up I'm met with shock. Will that change when I hit 30?

currently taking applications for a travel buddy. role description: hang out with me when my company sends me to countries where I know no one. qualifications: preferably a male, attractive.
Some construction work going on in the room next to me at 11pm central time here at the Westin! How many points is this worth?
New year resolutions are silly. I'm mostly talking about the habit changing goals. Why don't you start them now? Or three months ago?
Naive Question: McKinsey interview is coming. What should i wear? Suit and Ties? No Ties ok?
I'm on PTO this whole week, but still have to work because the client MUST have a deliverable a week before they even start their month close.
Hi fellow fish, what sites would you recommend to look for a rental property for 3-4 months in Miami?
A close friend now has fever, coughing, and shortness of breath in Boston but doctors will still not test anyone that didn’t travel to a risky country. Not even for just the flu. Major failure imo
How do you know if your burnt out and / or corporate isn’t for you? I wake up everyday late not motivated to work and hop on my laptop. I see no value in it other then it allows me to live on the weekends. It slowly breaks me down. I dream about doing other things but no so sure how great the $$ will be early on. I’m in my 20s and no kids. Is now the time to take a chance / risk and try something else? I can always make my way back to corporate right?
Just signed up for the SPG challenge. Easy.
Overheard my career counsellor (also project manager) making fun of me to two female consultants. First project with ACN, we've always been very professional and respectful to each other. What do?
Cheesy client holiday t-shirt reads, "Now watch me sip...on chardon-nay-nay." Welcome to the holidays folks 😐🔫
Came across this today. I am a woman that is often described “direct, blunt, with aggressive working style etc.” (to my face). Do you agree that men who are more assertive or have aggressive working style are perceived more openly and accepted by the society more than those who are women?
