Hi fishes! I had asked for benefits other than CTC which Bank of America provides & now that I've completed 1 month here, here's the list of allowances you'll be getting irrespective of position/band:
1. Sodexo: 1300 p.m./ 15,600 p.a.
2. Transport allowance: 900 one way, 1800 two ways p.m./ 21,600 p.a.
3. Internet: 1500 max p.m. (other than that, one time installation charges)
4. Tuition fee: Any certification related to your field. Like CFA, FRM etc. 3,00,000 p.a.

My job application status says shortlisted in Mindtree Portal after 3 round of technical interviews. The recruiter told me he will send an invite for the HR round (10-15 days back) But i am yet to receive any information from them.
Can someone from #Mindtree help me understand what process they follow for recruitment?

Personally - some people really deserve it in PwC. I know a friend who hasn't had a project in 8 months (cyber security) and isn't even trying. Time to clean out the trash .

I was at 95% utilization across multiple projects when I got laid off last week. Worked my ass off both internally and externally. I will always remember PwC as a big shithole.
How do they decide which first years to lay off? Seems like there's not tons of data to go off of
@P8: if the friend isn't trying, then... sometimes it's about tough love.
SA 1 - on the other hand, several managers and directors and partners have told me that talent management was very poor within cyber sec and that multiple strong first years had low utilization because they were not being staffed on the right projects. Not to mention, the pipeline wasn't as strong as expected.
C1 is one of the biggest reasons I hate this industry. Your "friend" may not be cut out for the industry that doesn't in any make them "trash". Why not leverage your network to help them find something that may be a better fit.
So he should sit and waste his career while sitting and doing nothing. Awesome . Some people need a push to start looking at other options. Yes that's called being a good friend. Sitting at home all day watching Netflix while you are getting paid isn't really motivation to go network or pick up new skills or find a project. And don't be too quick to judge that no one has helped him by leveraging networks. I myself have almost burned a bridge cause he lied on his resume about a skill he claimed and a director shredded him. And if you hate the industry, leave. But it is what is.
^well put. you control your destiny, if you want it go after it. Nothing is coming for you while at home.

@C1: so let me get this straight. You're friend is in depression because of all the above problems that he has already identified. And your take is that 'PwC should clean out the trash?' I'm not sure if it's me, but your attempt at an explanation made it worse.

@PwC8 & 9, C1 telling the truth is not being a bad Freind. Nobody should be on the bench in Cyber Security, there are a shit load of projects. Go federal of you have to. Some people want it more than others.
Agree with c1. It's not for everyone.
Pwc 8 & 9: this job owes us nothing. We work hard, get crazy opportunities, a bottomless pit of training funds if you want certs, and get paid a fortune for people our ages. If you can't find a way to be useful as a consultant within 9 months, then this isn't the industry for you.
Out entire being as consultants is centered on the idea of being the solution to a problem that someone else can't solve. If you can't find or invent a problem that you can solve, then this is not the career for you.
No hard feelings, just the facts of life.
Which practice / office ? With the crt done, all the 5 's will be let go this week .. So you can expect that to happen
