Have you talked to the manager about it? I think that's the first step before HR. Or just learn to say "no" and that you don't have time.

I quit my job because of a toxic manager. I’ve spoken to HR and partners were aware too and they didn’t do shit

like

You shouldn’t quit. If you quit every time you work with a shitty coworker/boss, you’re going to change jobs every couple of years. Communicate honestly with your manager and work with them to find a solution. The fact that they lean on you to pick up the slack means they trust you and depend on you. A good manager will work with you to keep you happy, but it’s your job to let them know what you’re feeling.

Talking to anybody is all BS. I spoke to the partner/counselor and now I am completely controlled by those people. Wanted to quit so badly!

You could talk to your counselor or suggest to the manager that it may be worth while to bring in additional resources. Presenting a solution to the problem rather than just saying no or getting into a passive aggressive match is more helpful. Its helped me in similar situations. People respond better when you give them a solution to the problem rather than just saying there is a problem. Especially in this world.

Talk to HR. Giving you shitty work constantly can be considered retaliatory to any of your complains and is not allowed. I know we take it as hard work all the time, but it can be abuse. Bring it up if that’s the case

everytime I expressed my concern, my manager always forced me to just suck it up with a passive aggressive attitude

I suggest starting with your counselor - describe the situation and ask for advice. If it’s an HR worthy situation they will tell you or they can help you start to navigate your way away.

I suggest not being a doormat and not taking shit from people. At a certain point you just say no. If you're going to quit over it what is the worst they can do? So they give you less than stellar reviews. Oh well, you're quitting anyway then.

Am I doing it wrong or right? i just started making $120K base (jumping from 80K). I thought that’s going to be significantly more of take home pay, but turns out I’m only going to bring home $4.5K/month. which is same as before 🥺. This is because I’m gonna start maxing out my 401K, HSA, Roth, and buying company stocks (which I didn’t do before). Damn those things add up quickly! 😭 120K - 9K FICA tax - 20K Federal tax - 19.5K max 401k - 6K Roth - 2.6K HSA - 8K company stock = 54K/year. 🤪
