"Well since you mentioned next year, I wanted to bring up this material change in staffing..."

funnylike

What?

Spoiler…they’re giving their notice too.

likefunny

Absolutely this.

Not their issue for now; make it’s someone else’s problem a year later lol

Me “you mean skip this forever ?”

Manager “what, no ! Why? “

Me “oh sorry , just got that 😉”

funnylike

Oh hell yeah lmaoooo

If it didn’t matter enough this year, why is it so important to update next year?

My temp contract has been extended. I’m relieved to be able to pay the bills, but after giving 70-80 shots a day, I literally dream about giving vaccines almost every night! Struggling to keep positive about finding a new permanent job - I was laid off at the end of April, have applied to over 60 jobs, had 6 interviews, and no offers. I can’t go back to chain retail - it damn near broke me in my 20’s, and it’s much worse now.

Rising 2nd year at corporate boutique. Major market. 170k base, variable monthly est. 20k, EOY subjective bonus. Big law = 200+25 I think. Is the range I am in competitive? Billed 2500+ last year.

Any suggestions on resources to improve communication, specifically verbal? Books, podcasts, YouTube channels, etc. Got some feedback that I need to improve my ability to 'speak to my audience'.

Feeling really lonely this holiday season and I think it's time for a change. I love my job but I'm realizing I devote too much time to it. I would really like to expand my social circle and potentially meet someone, but I don't really know where to start. Ideally my partner would also work in healthcare, but it isn't a dealbreaker for me. Ladies what should I do?? I'm a 32 year old woman with no kids.

Do you record your unbillable time? I have had conflicting responses. I have been told it's not good for efficiency calculations but others have told me if your still doing work let people know. For example, I get weird international stuff sometimes that not everyone gets (I think maybe? ) and I need to reread the 5471 rules or 8865 rules as I do the returns. I have been told not to bill for this but if I didn't have to spend time to do such things my billable hours would be higher

Should I be mindful about how much I’m spending or should I blow up the budget until someone says something?
