IMO anyone who puts multiple question marks or exclamation points after a review comment should be immediately removed from their management position. Don’t. Be. A. Dick.
What does this mean?!?!?
doesn't help if it's clear that you're just creating more work, not actually making the product better.
It's infuriating and I have to put a goddamn smile on my face just cause you're trying to be nice (while passive aggressively asserting you're the smartest person in the room).
Why don't you just edit the damn thing the way you want it?
Sounds rough.
Because you’ll never learn if you I don’t take the extra time it takes to explain, and that’ll prevent you from advancing. It’s an apprenticeship.
It’s a lot easier for me to just to make changes myself.
I have felt the same way in my career. Can’t completely comment not knowing the exact feedback you’re seeing, but food for though: the seemingly pointless nit picking may force you to reassess what you’ve written / presented. Maybe your work is crystal clear to you but they want to make sure it’s clear to everyone. Broadly speaking, I got over that frustration as I realized over time that those nits led to me working more efficiently and needing less guidance, and fewer edits. Next thing I knew I was leading and providing feedback. To P1’s point I could make the edits myself, but if you go through the exercise it’s more benefit to you long term.
