When I spent time in property management HR one of our KPIs was to have companywide turnover at 36% or less. Not sure what manufacturing’s norms are, but turnover that high is unfortunately pretty common in certain industries. Maybe you can purchase an industry workforce/human capital benchmark survey to validate where your turnover rate stands in relation to the industry average?
Oof, that is rough. Not surprised though, seems like people are leaving their jobs across a number of industries.

In industries like property management it was happening at the property-level well before any of this “great resignation” stuff hit.
Mine is about 20% at the moment, higher than we would like, but not terrible.
Why are they leaving? 😅
My perspective is it’s a training issue on the floor. But I’m new to manufacturing. Im used to 8% to 15% in my previous position. I was hiring 4x the amount of people then.
