For those who did a part time M7 MBA - what was the social aspect like?

My brother, who has a Canadian passport is looking for a job. He managed a field services team, recently received AWS SA cert. (no hands-on experience) and has some PM experience. Received MBA from a tier2/3 US university 10+ years ago. Any ideas or recommendations in finding a job will be appreciated. He is willing to relocate to Canada and some extent to the US.

What other ECs are good besides volunteering/nonprofits? My resume doesn’t have a strong track record of community service so I’m worried that any volunteering that I do now will be seen as fake/done purely for MBA apps. Are there any other impactful activities that can fit into resumes like mine?

When should I tell my team I’m leaving for MBA? We’re short staffed and been trying to hire a peer role to help me out for literally 3+ months now (this job market is crazy rn). I’d give them a 2 months notice to give them time to hire a replacement but I’m not sure if I should do this in March, that way I can have a free summer (I’ll be good on savings by then), or tell them later so that I can work/save more. My partner hasn't mentioned any concerns, but I want to be proactive in putting our marriage first. For those of you who spend extended time away from your partner, how do you increase and foster trust while away?

Has anyone tried to skip having their wedding? The average cost is $35k+, which feels totally reckless to me. I could put a downpayment on a summer/ski home in NH or VT with that 😬 curious, what do y’all think?
