Which company would you join?

I currently work in Sales with the intention of moving over to marketing in the near future. I received two offers for BDR/SDR roles from Sprout Social and Gong. Both salaries are around the same (Gong - base 63k + anticipated $25k in commission, Sprout - 55k base + anticipated $25k in commission).

I like both companies’ software and it extremely hard to decide which position will get me into marketing faster as it is not a traditional BDR path to take.

I’ve worked on some great stuff, big experiential activations and cool campaigns but I don’t have great documentation of it

My boss just gave their notice (3rd boss in 2 months) and told me to get a new job based on “mud within the executive level” of the organization (~5 years, 2 rebrands, etc). I’ve been there for 18 months. Looking at the recession expected to hit Canada in early 2023, I feel stuck; hiring is slow everywhere but jumping ship now means I’ll be the “last in the door” at most places. How would you navigate this? The decision will be made either way, but ideally I could move into something better.

Some ideas I heard: discounts for software (e.g., AWS), product / design / strategy frequent sessions from in-house / industry leaders, short-term special projects (e.g., market entry strategic plan done by the firm’s staff).

That’s on top of connections, finding design partners, etc.
