Fake news. Read the article, not just the headline: "about 8% of properties are moving to a higher category, 42 of which are in the U.S." If that's your definition of "screwed", you have a pretty easy life.

@Op stop making Deloitte look bad with your stupidity please

OP, did you even read the article?!? "The majority of Marriott’s 4,300 properties worldwide are staying in the same category; 21% (903) will move up in category". "For SPG members, about 18% (276) of Starwood’s 1,500 properties around the world are changing categories. This is down from 325 in 2017. " Where are you getting your numbers?

likehelpful

@a1. Op is definitely is presenting the facts in a manner that do not show the whole picture. Op is only showing the numbers that support his case. You correctly picked up in that. Also his argument is centered around the idea that marriott is going to eventually do this to spg properties. Basically this op is crazy

BCG1- Unbalanced re-evaluation can potentially lead to devaluation which is what happened here. Looks like you are having a bad weekend but you can try not be an ass.

What was unbalanced?

A1 - do the math. About 70% of Marriott properties that are undergoing re-evaluation are moving up. By spg getting screwed i meant that under Marriott’s leadership it will eventually get screwed.

Marriott, too, does this every year. The only useful data point would be to see how it compares to recent years.

What's more is that many of the hotels should be reevaluated and moved up, particularly in Asia. The JW Marriott in Kuala Lumpur is a category 3 Hotel currently. That is far too low.

SPG properties have a major problem in many high demand areas with quality. Too many tired, outdated Sheratons and Alofts as the only option. Personally looking forward to seeing how the SPG and Marriott programs merge.

Op just no

OP having a bad Sunday 😂

As an Indian visa worker in US, I feel Indian managers in ZS are very rude to me , one makes me work longer hours than white team members , never lets me present in workshops , and always criticizes. Last week I made a mistake in a internal report and he said that if I did that again he will book my flight to India. I have never faced this challenge with white managers. Is this a ZS thing or across all firms, I wish to leave because this treatment makes me feel like a lesser person

I don’t know if this is true or not, but I hope to see a day where everyone stays seated and not jump into the aisle as soon as the flight gets to gate. Wait seated to exit. A man can dream! 🤞🏼

New auditor here, I see most auditors get booked for 10- 12 hours on engagements during busy season. But heard everyone’s working 65 hours to 100 hours a week during that time. Does that mean almost everyone is eating their hours in big four and midsize firms ? If you’re assigned for 12 hours daily, Monday to Friday, but actually working 15 hours and weekends, do you book 12 hours Monday to Friday ? Or the actual hours you worked including weekends ?
