Which Job Offer Would You Pick? I’m fortunate enough to have recently received 2 job offers. Which would you pick based on the following information?:
Job Offer 1 - Salary: 10,000 more per year than Job Offer 2, less PTO than Job Offer 2, better work place culture
Job Offer 2 - Salary: 10,000 less per year than Job Offer 1, more PTO than Job Offer 1, better benefits than Job Offer 1
Job duties are comparable. Feel free to ask questions to help you decide! Thanks for weighing in!
Because I don't make that much money lol

I'd say max out 401k, take 401k loan without penalty for down payment

Don't touch your retirement money!!! Even if it's "penalty free". You'll lose out on a decent chunk of interest income down the road from removing that big of an amount from your 401k. Op figure out how much you need to put away for a house a month, then work your way back to 401k contributions. Don't need to max it to 18k$ but def keep it above the firm match. Make it the max to make paychecks uncomfortable but enough to survive
If ur goal is a house then you need to have liquid investments so keep it seperate from 401k
I'm also maxing out ira each year. So 18k pre tax + 5.5k post tax is a lot already
401k all day. House savings are separate from retirement. Don't conflate the two.
Why not 18k 401k and then 1k per month into down payment low risk portfolio.
Don't do all traditional for 401k
Why not
