Basically it seems bizarre to me that we live in the 21st century and people take so many high-tech measures to “be healthy” but we literally can’t see inside ourselves with a “simple touch of the button,” without jumping through hoops at various doctors and hospitals…again curious if anyone has thoughts or if I sound crazy lol

You’re not - I think about this all the time because I have aches that I can’t seem to shake and hate having to make a trek to the doctor and then jumping through hoops to get to a diagnosis. Even trying to get an ultrasound or X-ray can be tough and expensive.
My SO is a doc and constantly talks about how full body MRIs would be the best preventative thing but the logistics ($$$$) don’t align to USA’s current medical landscape. Think how many cancers would be caught sooner - so many lives saved and extended, the potential benefits are immense.

The way my stomach or some internal organ is KILLING ME right now. I wish I could just do a scan, figure out what the issue was and take the appropriate medicine/next step to get it resolved. Our healthcare system is trash but this is the type of technology we should be driving towards.
By the way, what you’re describing sounds a lot like Forward Healthcare. Check them out if you’re interested in the health tech space and biometrics! It’s a long way from what you’re describing, but they’re still working to move in that direction so maybe eventually

Yes I’ve seen them advertised on insta! Great point

This isn’t exactly what you’re describing, but it’s a step in the direction...check out the “butterfly iQ.” The product is a portable, full-body ultrasound machine and you then can view the images on your phone. It was built with the premise that in low income countries, it’s often very difficult for women to get ultrasounds during pregnancy so this was an easier option. But it’s now being used for many different reasons.

Even just to understand something as simple as targeted eating/nutrition (e.g., “your colon looks slightly backed up and is the reason for your discomfort” so you know for certainty what the cause is and feel assured that you are taking the right steps to address
Startup! I’d want something like this too
We could crowdsource resources and build something here. Down to collaborate, OP.
Me too!
Sending astronauts to the moon and rovers to Mars costs billions of dollars and relies upon thousands of workers — literally for just one trip to the moon. The human body is *far* more complex than a trip to the moon, so what you’re describing could not exist.
The technology to be able to do a full body scan alone is currently done by MRIs which weigh 3,000 pounds and cost $2M, plus require highly skilled physicians to interpret (eventually AI but even then a human eye will always be necessary to provide oversight).
Not saying it can’t ever be done better, but thinking you could do something like that in a portable, “touch of a button” DIY way by everyday people at home is unreasonable.
You could create a business that does full body MRIs, but insurance wouldn’t cover it for ordinary citizens without a preexisting condition (which you could argue is a problem but it’s a very expensive diagnostic tool and would put them out of business if they did cover). So you’d really only be able to offer this to the very wealthy.

I work in A&D consulting and have seen some really interesting next gen technologies that people would laugh at. Never say never!
Lol as someone going to the doctor shortly for a possible broken toe, yes this would be convenient :)
THANK YOU for example, why the f can’t we diagnose endometriosis without a super invasive surgery???
Check out Fitrus! (https://www.thefitrus.com/) - it’s not a full MRI scan by any means, but it’s a portable USB-sized device that measures body fat and muscle mass, created by my friend’s start-up!
