Maybe I'm naive, but I feel like "don't go to bed angry" doesn't always apply. Sometimes I need to sit with my thoughts/feelings to figure out what my needs are, and sometimes I need time to digest what the other person is saying in order to react appropriately. Both of these I find difficult to do if I'm tired, grumpy, and sleep-deprived. Have any of you also found this to be true? Interested to hear other perspectives

Even I have mailed the staffing partner multiple times still they are not removing me from API testing since I was hired for Java Developer. I have already my disinterest, followed up multiple times. Boutique or big 4?

I'm currently an ops manager at a big 4 in London and received an offer from a small boutique firm with 25-30% pay rise.

He literally told me I was his soulmate while he was cheating and got another woman pregnant. Fast forward 4 years later, I just married the love of my life. Over a week ago my long distance (ex)bf (US) and I (NL) broke up. I was ready to move to US for him and get married; he’d never want to move to NL. I couldn’t accept that: I needed to know it could still be an option to live in NL in the future, if that became necessary due to my family situation. He ruled it out because pay is lower here, though we’d still be super comfortable financially (top 1-5%). Is money the key driver in such decisions, even in consulting? Did I do right by breaking up?

So… 3.5 year relationship came crashing in Jan due to covid depression, work burn out, lockdown etc. We have stayed in contact and recently he has come around to apologizing and considering getting back together.
