Can anyone give insight into CBIZ MHM for audit?
Hi all,
I just came to realise Deutsche Bank has a fixed rule of max 30 to 35 % hike on fixed component and remaining 10 to 15% variable i.e. total 50% max hike you can ask for no matter how good, skilled you are.
Is it true?
(I got to know this when an HR called me for a Frontend developer role)

I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

Here’s a perspective, some people don’t handle the loneliness too well and would like to be with their loved ones. Also, their places in high CoL area may not be ideal for wfh long term. As long as they quarantine themselves from their parents for a couple of weeks to see if they show symptoms and take right measures, it should be fine. Don’t be too harsh on people, especially in times like this.
Dumb teenagers, Director ...smh
You never know everyone's story/situation, while it's nice to sit from our houses and judge others it doesn't change the situation.
There's a difference between people going on vacation vs going to be with their family. Do I think people should be going on vacation, no. Am i going to stress myself about it enough, no. Not going to change their behaviors because we're mad, they'll change their behaviors when there's consequences to their actions.
I went home. Don’t really care about your opinion OP
I did that - but here’s what I also did:
(1) self-quarantine for 14 days, only went outside in the yard
(2) stayed 5m away from others in home
(3) did not use common spaces, if I did I lysol wiped after
(4) separate dishes
(5) if placed hands near face by accident, wash hands right away before touching anything at all
Given low chance of having it individually to begin with and taking those measures, I thought I would be good. Open to feedback/opinions
Similar to BA1, I did 10 days of quarantine in NYC before I drove home. That way I could control a number of interactions unlike airports. I’m quarantined again at home for 14 days in my bedroom and only step out to use the bathroom. I don’t go face to face with my parents, wash my own dishes, and Lysol every surface I touch. It’s the best I can do.
I did the same as BA 1. Literally haven’t left the house in 13 days and keep a large distance between my and my parents. Couldn’t bare to be in nyc during this time
I’ve said this in so many threads. We suck at social distancing. It’s not just standing 6’ from someone.
I left a very populous city to go to my parents house to quarantine. My parents are barely 60 and in decent health and much preferred me to be at home with them rather than alone in the city far away during these times of uncertainty. Totally understand some people have not been taking this seriously enough, but also don’t judge other people’s situations and well being.
Good to hear these perspectives. Wishing you both well also.
I don’t know anyone who did that - are people doing that?!
I was lumping in my thoughts about two things: (1) colleagues I know who went to be with family and did not quarantine themselves from their 60+ family at all (2) colleagues who went on vacation very recently, risking exposing people in a state that is low on cases
You also don’t necessarily know enough about your colleagues personal health and family situations. My SO has a serious medical condition and felt safer leaving the city. We self quarantined 1 week before leaving city and 1 week when returning home to family. Also stayed away from family members in the home. Traveled via car service to avoid transportation.
I left Ohio (client site) for the Northeast and am staying with my father (62, weakened immune system). I had my flight to visit right before the bans/directives to not travel came out. Told on Wednesday night, day before flight, that travel would be halted for the rest of the month. I was concerned I could be bringing it to him - mind, after I got there because that's when it started to become serious. I try to Lysol everything I touch, wash my hands frequently, etc. I do all of his grocery shopping so he doesn't have to leave the house, but I'm still concerned that I will bring it into the house. I've just hit the 2 week mark since I've flown but didn't quarantine in house (I've only been grocery shopping and generally stay to my own area of the house but still use the kitchen).
I don't know if I should have tried to change my flight to my apartment instead of keeping my original flight to visit 2 weeks ago. The situation was very different in the US when I made the decision to visit, but it's still concerning that I made the wrong decision to stay with him, especially since a lot of news and reports came out for Ohio in the days after I left.
It’s so hard to make the right decision now. I worry every time I leave the house (<once/week for groceries or even for an evening walk at a social distance) that I will bring something back to my family member. I want to take them out, but worry about their safety. It’s hard to think right now and hard to know the best thing to do.
