Sometimes I wish I never learned about this career path. Ever since I have it’s only caused me stress and anxiety. Anything I accomplish is never good enough since I always have to be working towards the next goal, whether that be another promotion, more impactful projects, an MBA.
One Crunch or All Crunch plan? I don’t foresee myself going to multiple locations, but there’s a good promotion going on right now…
New to options trading, been following this bowl a while and trying to get educated with courses on options alpha and TD Ameritrade. How many of yall are able to make consistent extra income from options trading? I’m not expecting BC wins but was hoping after some practice for a little side income to make the no raise year a little less painful. Just wondering if it’s more of a gamble then anything except for the exceptional few...
[Marketing Tech] What is a reasonable raise expectation when being promoted? Internally, I’ve seen raises range from 15%-30% for base salary. *not including bonus* and these % remain around the same for jumps between Associate->Manager->Sr.Manager Anyone have any input? Much appreciated!
I am preparing to ask my boss for a promotion in the coming months. I have made several awesome contributions over the past year I have been here but have had a few (minor) mistakes happen recently. Any advice for how to go about asking? Should I drop hints I will asking soon?
There's a lot of backstory to this but I can only type so much SO I've been with my company for 10.5 hours and just found out they've increased their base pay for starting employees $3-5/hr. I have received my annual 3-4% raises, only because I always make sure to ask for it, but nothing more. They didn't even acknowledge my 10 year anniversary with the company and it's a pretty small company (less than 100 employees). I feel I should get a $3-5/hr raise since the base pay was raised. Thoughts?
When you get an internal promotion what percentage raise should you expect? For instance from a Director to Sr. Director.
I left KPMG after 7 years after being passed over for Director promotion. I left to start a medical business. 3 months in, my partner and I grossed $130K in sales w/ a 60% margin. Consulting prepared us for this and I’m forever grateful for my experience. I’m honestly amazed at how well consulting skills translate to entrepreneurship. I’m sharing this to encourage anyone who’s been on the fence about starting their own thing. Go for it. Consulting will always be there if you need to fall back.
High(ish) performing staff to senior in transfer pricing. What can I expect in terms of raise?
At what point did y’all let work know about pregnancy? Up for promotion this year want to get that promo which I’m cutting it close with yearly review.
Came out of a pretty toxic work environment and therapist has basically said I have PTSD. Trying to get past it, while aiming to excel in new team but finding it hard to voice my thoughts/opinions given previous experience. Also experiencing the beginnings of burnout, caring for a 4 year old and full time work. Oh and any thoughts of promotion are truly gone...any ideas on work strategy?
What's this AMI and GPS in CBO?? Any chance that these grouping lead to higher promotion count next year ??
Question- Do larger firms look at coming from a local firm (8 YE- same firm, Supervisor, CPA, MS, work 2600-2700 py, no promotion ever- must be on ptr track) as a negative? Or is it a red flag that I am not a mgr (I do manage clients..)? In sum- I interviewed at 3 ntl (5-12) firms. One capped "sr" salary at XX. One offered M1. I make >10K more at current firm. Salary offers were <. I'm curious from a recruiting standpoint. Maybe I should have left for DT/RSM/And in '15.
Hi all. If you have ever encountered passive aggressive teammates, did you raise this situation to your direct report? If so, what was your approach and how did you deliver the feedback? This particular teammate is beginning to create a toxic work environment for me and I would like to diffuse this situation amicably, as performance reviews are near.
I am up for promotion next year. Wasn’t able to do much outside of project work since July because of some personal issues. Have decent Utilization (110%), good reviews but nothing that says...cotd

I started a small LLC on the side. My company is getting it's first client this month. Wondering if any 🐟 have recommended resources on setting up initial consulting business thru an LLC. Books, websites, tax strategies etc. My LLC is already incorporated, but looking for guidance with the next steps (creating contracts, invoices, etc)
I can’t commit to studying for the GMAT. I’ve done some soul searching and think I don’t actually want an MBA that bad otherwise I’d be willing to commit. I think my only motivator is being worried about potentially stunting growth / trajectory without it. Anyone else had a similar experience?
Is an MBA to a lower tiered school or specialized marketing graduate certificate more valuable to a hiring manager these days? My goal is to transition into marketing & become a lifecycle marketing manager. Thank you for your feedback!
Chase Freedom Unlimited vs Chase Freedom Flex. Thoughts on which to get? It seems the only different is the Unlimited gives you 1.5% on all “other” purchases, and the Flex gives you only 1% on “other” but a 5% category you choose each quarter. Both have the same intro offers, including 5% groceries for the first year, and 5% travel thru Chase, 3% restaurants and drug stores forever. Thinking the Flex is the better pick out of the two but maybe im missing something
On the bench this week, have PTO Friday, but have already mentally checked out and it’s not even noon on Monday. I feel guilty about not feeling guilty. I just had to say it to all the randoms on FB.
Ok, I'm the one the SLC plane; I have a baby next to me and another behind me... kill me please
