Ex-IBMer and I know a lot of people at Deloitte. I’d definitely stay. Also posted a previous post about another Deloitte person saying they are going to IBM. Worth a read.
Dont
I second D1
Yea. There are absolutely layoffs at IBM. I know of this feom a co worker with a friend there. Not performance related either.
Deloitte is a way better brand. I would not jump ship unless there is more to the story.
Every company lays off and hires simultaneously. This is not a new phenom in corporate America.
Hey Deloitte 1 and the rest of the consultants on here, your information is purchased from IBM so I wouldn’t be so quick to trash except for pay. Why are you considering leaving is the better question?
^ False
Don't do it.
LEK C1 you are ill informed
OP, the culture at IBM is horrible right now. Please don’t do this to yourself.
Okay @IBM3 please elaborate on what data you have every sold to LEK
I’m in SAP OCM at IBM. Definitely aware of the layoffs, but now that I think about it, nobody that I know of in my practice area has been hit. The other practice areas over hired and had to cut back on numbers. We’re not that big and there have defs been talks of recruiting for change management. So I’m assuming OCM is safe/looking to grow. Hahaha makes me feel better about the stability of my job.
What C2 said - layoffs are based on practice, not across the board
If you’re happy at D though, I would stay. Unless IBM is paying you a lot more. Also depends on your level at D. Managing consultant is three levels up (so Sr Consultant level at D)
@IMB3 no details? Shocking... Avoid IBM like the plague OP
L.E.K. C 1
If you use data you had buy from someone. I am pretty sure you don’t collect it in your vast database. It kills that your not right;-)
Not shocking that L.E.K. C.1 doesn’t know where they purchase their data
