MBA or CFA? I’d like to hear some thoughts/comparisons. I’m a rising Junior in college and am debating on which I should pursue after I graduate. Some relevant background information: BS Economics, Minor in Math, ideal career is wealth management. Thank you.

You most likely will not need an MBA for a successful career in wealth management. A CFA definitely helps in this field. MBAs are generally super expensive ($200k+ plus the opportunity cost of two years of foregone compensation) and I haven’t seen it give anyone a leg up unless they’re looking to switch career industries entirely or to start their own businesses/companies.

CFA your company will most likely help pay for & MBA won’t be relevant until 4/5 years+ down the line most likely.

I’d focus on CFA for now and join the MBA bowl here if you’re looking to better understand what the reqs are.

Hope this helps: https://www.wallstreetmojo.com/cfa-vs-mba/#:~:text=CFA%20focuses%20on%20enhancing%20investment,read%20more%20etc.

Awesome appreciate you guys

Looking for advice on where to head next. Now I'm mostly working with Azure Databricks, SQL, and a little bit of Ansible CI/CD.
After 12 months I can influence where my next role is and I'm wondering what is the best career direction.
The next role can include
C#,
APIs,
React,
DevOps / Ansible,
Or more Azure Synapse & Databricks
Which of these languages / technologies is good for my future in tech? Or does it matter?

Hello everyone, I am a fresher and I recently joined a management consulting firm(3 months) with 12+LPA and I realised MC is not for me.
I tried giving it a shot for the first 2 months but then I am just dragging there after. Anyhow yk how it's in MBA, campus placement leli without a thought plus lack of experience in everything. It's tough out there.
I am desperate to switch to creative/marketing/branding/advertising. If anyone could help/guide/refer me in the right direction that'd be great.

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

And yes, I've constantly asked throughout this entire year yet nothing has happened only promises that its coming soon or I'll be included in upcoming xyz.

So stuck. What do I do? I joined this firm a year ago (4 yrs exp total) to grow/get more court/client exposure. Then 2 more-experienced associates were hired, pandemic, & all cases are divided between the other 2. I have no defined tasks except deficiency letters or the odd pro bono case. Boss claims it's mentoring. I still need to meet bill req.

Last wk Boss said I'll do more & my work was good, but today said I can't 2nd chair bc I don't have experience. I'm doing less now than my prior firm.

The PE culture is sick. The 20 something VP was rude to our partner because our team took thanksgiving and the day before off and it was in the engagement letter that we were gonna be off. He kept emphasizing that his team did our job while we were on a break. Dude we are not sick like you and we have lives. I see something about how s**t the PE culture is in every deal we support.

Like these sickos make fun of us for working 80+ hours weeks for them and taking thanksgiving off.

I used to do staffing. Involved cold calling And spamming clients and emails. People treated recruiters as middlemen, a noise and felt disrespectful.

But it’s not easy profession - to specialize and win in a niche.

I know it could be automated and give an experience to candidates and clients by making it ondemand, instant and specialization. I saw a Vision to turn this recruiting business into ondemand staffing companies like Airbnb - just publish talent and do the transaction.
