I am deputed at the client office. I use PSL laptop only to check mails. But in my last appraisal my manager told me that I need to get 60 credit points for promotion. But due to client work load, i won't be able to do that. So, I have resigned from PSL mentioning the same that promotion will not happen.
But my manager told me that he will try to give me a promotion in next cycle (ignoring the credit points clause). He is asking me to withdraw resign
Shall I withdraw my resign? Persistent

Is WLB better at Bain?
Bain & Company What is the likelihood of making SAC in September 2022 if I join as an AC on April 18th at Bain & Company? I am a senior consultant at EY with 3.5 years of experience in Data Analytics. Or is March 2023 more realistic? They told me 6 months for promotion but it seems like the two promotion cycles with my different start dates give me 4 or 9 months of experience, nothing in between. I’ll be joining in the private equity group which will be new for me.

Happens rarely - i had a case on a long-term client which was great WLB but even then i logged off at 6 but added 2h or so at night again
Coach
I've had cases that were 40-45. It was great! 50-55 is an average case
0 - that doesn’t happen
6pm is the time we have the “end of day meeting” with the team to plan for the activities that will be done until 10pm
10pm? You finish early guys

Probably 5 nights since I joined McK. In 2015.

Book is so good
2 - a couple nights a week
We have something called PTO (Predictibility - Transparency - Open Communication).
You should have 1 PTO night + Friday night free.
Can confirm, my team cuts off work Friday 5PM EST and we have protected Thursday evenings. In NAMR

We literally are not trying to hire anyone who wants to work 9-6 in consulting path roles and are actively trying to manage recruiting messaging.
And if we can’t attract enough people willing to work longer hours than 9-6, we need to innovate on our value proposition to win more of those who are (because finance, law, medicine, start-ups, etc. have plenty of talent doing this)
If you are good at your job and you get a light week day - celebrate it, don’t overwork yourself. But it is an earned reward or luck of the draw - not an entitlement.
On a regular study basically never. As mentioned above, 6pm is usually “check out” which is really midday check in to see what needs to be complete by morning
Less than one per week unless you’re talking about Fri/Sat/Sun night
Done at 6pm? 0 times on any case I’ve been on tbh
Done by 7 happens maybe once a week on good cases where the team makes it a point to have one early night per week. This just means you do the work on other nights though, it’s not less weekly work total.
