We literally are not trying to hire anyone who wants to work 9-6 in consulting path roles and are actively trying to manage recruiting messaging.

And if we can’t attract enough people willing to work longer hours than 9-6, we need to innovate on our value proposition to win more of those who are (because finance, law, medicine, start-ups, etc. have plenty of talent doing this)

If you are good at your job and you get a light week day - celebrate it, don’t overwork yourself. But it is an earned reward or luck of the draw - not an entitlement.

Done at 6pm? 0 times on any case I’ve been on tbh
Done by 7 happens maybe once a week on good cases where the team makes it a point to have one early night per week. This just means you do the work on other nights though, it’s not less weekly work total.

Any Guidance on moving laterally and leaving a long term project? I’m currently in a technical role that I’ve worked extremely hard to be in but Im not finding myself successful at it. I’m not energized by the work I do and feel like I’m being drained. I’ve been working towards moving to talent or something along those lines. However, I don’t want to let my team down or sound ungrateful since it’s a “I got what I asked for and now I hate it” scenario.

Hi, HR Manager here! I am working with TA to revamp our interview/onboarding process as a staffing agency. The current process looks like this:
Phone screen
Pre-interview NDA / ID verification
30-45 min Zoom interview
Write up client submittal
Recruiting Manager reviews submission
Submit to client
Then the talent may go through several rounds of interviews with a client depending on salary range (we work with a range from $12 hourly - 200k +)
TA is bogged down in admin tasks! Recommendations?

Graduating with PhD in comp neuro next year. I just did a week long internship at MBB to check out consulting, which I loved but ultimately will not be accepting my offer for life considerations (my wife also works at MBB and we have young children). It was amazing getting a sense of what the work actually comprises.

Are there any similar day-long or week-long internship programs for data science? Would love to test it out for a little bit to see what I like/dislike.
