Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
Anyone here who made an industry pivot via b school? Curious how you told the story in your applications. My mba “coach” is a bit concerned because I want to pivot into an industry that I don’t have any experience in, and that industry primarily does JIT recruiting. (Primarily biotech/pharma hoping to pivot to luxury / retail)
Question Part Time MBA or MS Information Systems difference In program is 50k Northwestern/Kellogg which should I do?
Question about pre-MBA work experience - has anyone seen consultants move to tech (strategy, BizOps) roles and then to M7 MBA? I was hoping to apply this year but I’m considering a move to a BizOps role at a late stage tech firm - wanted to see whether the M7 MBA door remains open.
What is the best certification to pursue in this area? Looking at SHRM-CP but want to learn more about others.
Any one can tell me the range of salary (pay bracket) for team lead- level 9 for a candidate having mba and 4 year of experience. Also ease tell what will be the in-hand that a person can expect to receive
Hello! I’m currently in Talent Acquisition Operations, and although I do love Operations and all things related to process/efficiency, I really want to pivot away from Talent Acquisition/Recruitment. After some research and initial soul searching, I have started the Google UX Design Certification… but I’m wondering if anyone has any other recommendations of careers that might blend my love of process improvement with the opportunity to be creative? Thanks!
Currently a software engineer at FAANG (four years out of college) interested in getting involved in tech private equity. To reset my career, what is the most efficient route to get there? MBB -> PE?
Any CFAs here? I am planning to start CFA prep in a couple of months. I have a B.Tech in Electrical and currently working as ERP Consultant (2+ yoe). I just want to get into Finance - is it worth investing time and money in CFA? Or are there any alternatives?
Can somebody provide examples of strong ECs? Is involvement in a local small business accelerator a good example? How to find time to participate if I work 60 hours/week on average? Or does a hobby like a youtube channel count as well? I need a top tier MBA degree for better job opportunities, and I don’t care about community impact. Gonna fake it if I have to. Help.
Would you say H/S grad are held to higher expectations than anyone else given the same role? For example, if someone from H/S landed MBB/T2 and then someone from a T15 landed the same role. Would the H/S person be held to higher standards and be expected to perform more?
I used to always want to go to grad school for an MBA but now that I’m working, everything’s clicking and I’m on great projects, with a strong network and have some good years lined up. Continued...
I know there’s an mba applicants bowl, but curious if anyone has run into problems with the background check once admitted? My title is a bit confusing and usually I use a different one (does not sound superior or anything like that) but worried about consequences...should I be?

When everyone at the client keeps on saying "it's Friday" and all I want to say is "shut the F up, it's not Friday for us".
BCG fish, got an invite to a round 1 interview. They gave me the option to do an “accelerated process” by interviewing this Friday. However it has been a few years since I’ve cased so I’m a little rusty. Is there a disadvantage to doing an interview later this month as opposed to this Friday? Thank you!
Jackson Lewis v. Littler v. Fisher Phillips Which one: 1- is best to start out as young associate (assuming a few years of gen. lit experience but no employment) 2- is most likely to provide the appropriate support, experience, and upward mobility in the next 5 years (w/o making you want to leave) 3- is the best long term (considering: kids + workflow + business development expectations) 4- is most likely to lead to a good in-house job BONUS - if you've left 1 of these for another 1, why?
Anybody able to rank Optiver, IMC, and Flow Traders in terms of expected compensation and culture?
Can someone compare the pros and cons of MBB vs. FAANG+M? How does each shape your career? How are MBA opportunities from each?
My partner hasn’t been feeling well over the last couple days. Nothing severe, just slight malaise and fatigue. She told me she had contact with someone who was Covid positive but she’s in healthcare so that isn’t anything new. She was prepared. Today she was sent home from work and told to quarantine but has insisted on getting hugs and even coughed on me during one. We’ve been together for a LONG time. This is a pattern for when she gets sick but with possible Covid I expected more precaution
Perks of being laid off and working local: no more flight and hotel reminders, no more shitty project, less politics and back biting. After 10 years I can say I have a life now.
What is the point of recruiters. This isn’t to troll but I really don’t understand the point of recruiters. For the efficiency we all so dearly chase, won’t recruiters be an easy trim - esp the HHs working for third party firms.
How long does it take to get a green card from filing the I-140 and I-485 concurrently under EB-1 for an EU national? Do I have to wait for GC to move jobs? Or can I move with EAD?
Standing desk suggestion? Looking for one that is below $500 and not to difficult to assemble. Have my eye on autonomous smartdesk 2 but negative reviews about its stability etc really concern me. Anyone has used this product or has any other suggestions? TIA!

I really love Workday... from the WFH stipend at the beginning to the 2 week paid bonus + all this WFH, really makes me appreciate where I work. Its supposedly cost us 80m in expenses too.
What do you guys do when you're on "the bench"?
Anyone move to the US on an L1B and go through the green card process? If so, how long did it take (from date of arrival) and any tips / watch outs?
Do you think firms will update expense policies to allow for reimbursable overtime meals in the remote environment (rather than only allowing reimbursement for meals consumed on site)?
I have to say, R/GA is probably by far the worst “agency” to work at. Their culture and core values as a company are close to zero. This agency is heavily sugar coated. Welcome to R/GJail.
