Any ex-Kearney folks who left for Boston Consulting Group think it was worth it? Debating making the jump to sr associate, but unsure if I’ll regret it. What are the pros & cons?
Concerns include: rebuilding network, getting counselled out, less flexibility to explore new geographies, longer hours (ie 75+ hr/week most of the time vs 60-65 at Kearney)...

^same. I was also constantly being evaluated as a 8-12 month in BA vs. a fresh BA. That was a bit tough.
Also, there is 100% a certain “way” to do things at an MBB and you have to almost re-learn how to walk in some instances.
An expectation that you can do what you have never done very quickly without anyone really telling you how to, just that they expect you to do it. I mean, the company is aware of the issue and they do a couple of things to help out the newcomer to feel less out of place but not so great at it yet. The reality is that you will have to learn their stuff very quickly, while keeping to the absolute latest of your expertise without having exposure to the industry anymore and sink or swim. Sometimes it feels like trying to master two jobs. I don’t know yet if there is a point when you stop feeling the difference. Among other things.

Not easy... you have loads of knowledge but not mastered the local methods and so you feel guided by the blind half the time and treated like an idiot the other... once you got the methods you will be fine. Also it can be quite odd to feel being ordered around by a kid.
