I just make a career transition from recruiting to Org Development at a consulting firm 6 months ago. I’m really struggling to learn the things I want to learn since I’m alone on projects and they aren’t change management based- more just building training materials (which is what I got my masters in). Is it worth to switch to an internal role even though I don’t have hands-on change management experience? All of the roles want change management. All advice and insight is welcome!

It looks like LVN is the fastest path (12-month program at my local community college), then continue education for a BSN while working as an LVN. My client wants to hire me directly but I'm at offshore, he says he will give short term onsite for three months and within those days he will try to hire me directly. But i had other plans and have already resigned my LWD is in July but my company has not informed the client yet. I really like the project just moving due to financial need. Pls advise!? My client doesn't know that I have resignation plan but he offered this to me.

Base - 125k
Equity - 131k
Sign-On - 20k

Would come in at L4 with 3.5 YOE.

Currently work in Big 4 Finance Transformation. Love my job, my network, and the firm as a whole. Have an immense amount of leadership support and am quite comfortable. Firm is heavily asking me to stay and offering manager promo and retention bonus.

Is it possible to lateral to MBB from Big 4? I was an experienced hire with an MBA but had no consulting experience. Why don’t more people push back against eating hours (especially when it’s substantial, e.g., 25% beyond projected hours), when utilization is a KPI? Can there even be formal repercussions for refusing to, given that doing so is against policy at most firms?
