I have 6 yrs of HR exp, a PHR cert & an HRIP cert. I recently left my role as an HR Rep at a tech co b/c I was working 60+/week and the stress of the job was affecting my health. I recently received an offer at a new tech co that is $10k less than what I was previously making with comments from current EEs that this new co has a better WLB. Total comp is still a lot less than my prev company. Is less comp too much of a compromise for better WLB? What have you compromised for a better WLB?

Following.
Also, wanted to say that I’m very disappointed in the Canadian job market. How many ex-consultants can work at the few finance or energy employers? Competition is vicious (oversupply of talent - especially now) and most exit options don’t even look appetizing...
Following as well

...conts..) .Senior leadership roles at Financial Institutions only option...see the Canadian Market mix - i see energy, and financial sector are only exit options (which will again be very competitive)...so technically staying at MBB seems like only option. Please correct me if my thinking is wrong.

So got some more info on some research...first 4-5 year consulting experience are still considered generalist, and can find exits in other industries. 8-10+ are probably tied to the industry, but it's better to be in same industry where you have experience.

Thank you so much!
