No. they do not expect us to be human calculators. They are looking for judgement and a base ability to back of envelope calculations.
But I know someone who got dinged for rounding 350 down to 300, which was more a terrible decision than a math error tbh
Depends on how bad the error is and how you are doing by that point of the case
Honestly I think a single quant error is often the excuse to ding people when choices have to be made. During final rounds there are always a cluster of applicants on the fence and partners need to make a tough call. Build rapport and perform adequately and you will be fine.

At M1 - that makes sense. But even if you do - it may make sense to ask for permission before making that decision as it's about 15% off that number ..
