Does anyone have tips, do's/don'ts or other suggestions as to how I can make it as successful as possible for the selected students?

Planning to have 5 over the summer of 2022 as a start.

Met a CIO of a VC firm for black beauty brands (like my own brand) who was interested in recruiting me as a venture associate - I would directly be working with her and a contracted finance team for due diligence comp analysis etc. after calling her she said they’d want to do a 90 day project before fully hiring me for the role. The thing is its also during the cycle of other jobs like MBB that I was also hoping to apply for. Should I take the 90 day paid project is that common practice in VC?

I’m planning to transition into IT (I have business administration background). Started studying CompTIA+ and hope to get my Security+ certificate in the future. And if I don't have atleast any one of these, I will not be considered.

What is the total comp expected for an experienced Director at Alixpartners? What kind of billable hours is expected? Bonus structure? How is the culture in the restructuring group?

Is it typical to get a year end raise, even if you are not getting promoted? For example, I’ve been at my current rank for one year and am close to next level. My value is higher since I am more experienced but still billed as a senior analyst. Is it reasonable to ask my employer for a raise? My reasoning as follows:
- My work quality has significantly improved since last year
- 90% utilized this year
- Current pay is below market value
- No harm in asking

If I had an hour of PTO for every time Excel crashed on me, I'd still never find the time to use any of it.
