@MCK folks theres an Intl consultant role that keeps popping up on the careers page that I am really interested in. I've applied 2x but always get the generic "next time" email. How can I learn more about the project specifically? Or find a lead who knows more?

From what I can see so far, taking a full time offer from a client you've worked for seems analogous to crossing into heaven.

What matters more to you? Promotion or gaining experience from the project you are on?

Note of caution. Monday morning travel doesn't mix well with a client site team who are all morning people. I'm on my third cup of coffee and I still can't catch up with these people.

How do I transfer to client and market from client delivery and operations?

Sometimes I feel I’ve been staffed on the client site just to be seen walking around the halls. The vast majority of the work I’m doing could be done remotely. I’m no different than a potted plant.

Has anyone also struggled to get on a project as a new hire? Doing all I can (I think) networking, volunteering, speaking to staffing manager etc but can't seem to get off the bench.

My client's been calling me the wrong name for a month and now its too late to correct him..maybe I should print new business cards and play along..
